ultra uber summon? I mean some very seriously powerfull shiznit that takes all of their mana and has mayb a 30 minute recast time but does the same dmg as like 3 extra offensive ppl in the party would do and does it using very cool spell or something. These summons have always been some uber and ultra cool things in many previous final fantasies, and for all the time and effort one has to put into the Summoner char I would think they deserve something like that just to flesh out their uniqueness and the place that they had/have in FF. Of course that type of power would be limited like all the mana cost and time limited also.
I dont know, It just seems to me Summoners arent all that liked and they should be boosted some and made more outstanding and given perhaps 1 intentionally overpowered summon but make it situational, perhaps even requiring consumable items to cast it so while it would be overpowering when cast it wont be game damaging since it would be cast incrementally and not in every fight.. mayb every other fight or after every 2 fights thus increasing the speed the party kills by mayb 20% making them very much desired in PTs. (damn that was a long sentence sorry lol)
Oh just to add.. if you think about the 'well then what if a group of summoners....' well that wont be an issue since the summon wouldnt tank for them thus they would be quickly killed by any boss mob they tried to gang bang with their overpowerd summon.
