Elvaan Summoner?

Well right now Im a WAR, but Im thinking of SUM/WHM becuase many people in my linkshell want to go after summons. Can you tell me if this a feisible possiblity?
Also, what can Carbuncle do as a summon and what can possible chances of soloing with summoner?

I obviously care about the words coming from your mouth, so I ask,"Why do you speak?"

And Carbuncle has most of the White Magic abilities to support your party... and soloing with a SMN? Yea for the first 12 levels you can but you should start PTing after that; you get better EXP PTing. And the lvl where it becomes so hard to solo is lvl 20... you'd be getting like 5 EXP and have lost all your MP and maybe almost be dead...
