question on when you fight a summon

when you fight a summon and beat it do you have to have ur smn job mained? or can u be any other job just have smn unlocked? thanks!

When you defeat a summon you have 3 choices as a reward, the summon, weapon/armor, or gil. If your job isn't a SMN and you defeat a summon and choose the summon as a reward you will be able to use it when you switch back to your SMN job. So the answer to your question is yes.

but if you have not unlock the summoner job, then if you choose to have the summon, will you get the summon when you unlock the job?

If you choose the weapon/armor can you then kill the summon again in order to get it for the job?

Yup you can keep killing them untill you get the summon and armor and weapon... but it'd take a while.
