I hope that this will make Summoners more then a cure tank... I don't like the fact that the class I wanted to play is a support class and nothing more... =/

Actually we summoners will be better than other support classes. Since Summoners will be able not only use heal magic but summons to attack when necessary in party. And I definitely use summons to attack whenever solo.
Fenir will help Summoner have a good attack summons besides Ifrit and Titan. Until they add Bahamut, Fenir is the coolest summons in game.

Yes I have been hearing alot about Summoners just being healers and supporters and even then they aren't that good. I dont buy it I just think people are trying to discourage people from becoming summoners. I mean Ifrit and Titan are fairly strong, right? And Fenrir isnt a push over either. When Bahamut is released people will think twice about denying a Summoner and party or talking bad about them.

Um no, we have been telling the truth. SMNs are used as a support character/for their abilities so far... Maybe Bahamut will be the strongest one and that'll be the only summon worth keeping out for attacking but for now SMN is a support character. I guess you people just won't understand it untill you actually play the game... the people that say SMNs are good attackers obviously haven't played the SMN job... I have and its a support job not an attacking job.

all the 6 summon primes that you have to obtain from fights now apparently have the exact stats what so ever, mix elemental strength or weakness one might be a bit stronger than the other on a certain type of monster, and allin all they are weak, very week, good at missing bad at damaging even when hit. discouraging you ? why would you think we would do that...

As of now Fenrir isn't in game so no one could tell you his abilities and know what they do for sure... hopefully he'll be released soon maybe in Dec. when they raise the lvl cap again...

they look very simular to whatever the other summons have now, the abilities looks pretty crappy (well... except dispell, but if you got a rdm in the pt that's taken care of -_- other smn's buff might be more useful, also the tripple bite probably will be better tan shiva's double slap currently) fenrir is just a make up elemental since right now summoner is lacking on dark elemental. and my guess of bahamoth will be elementalless for the final mark up.
