So the summons are not god like I can understand.

But can they back up a group with extra damage or take on add in a crunch till the group can take care of the add?

Give you back up solo when you are goofing off or get jumped traveling?

this game is about communicating with others, and having thoughts only on what you want does NOT work out. i dont' knwo if anyone has told you but "i'll do what i want" is very selfish.
smn/blm does not work out in this game in most cases, your hp isn't there for you to waste them on magic to be resisted, your summon's physical damage is crap and miss a lot. abiliteis can be used only once a min, and only that few is useful.

blm's black magic are A LOT stronger than summoner's, and summon's black magic can't mb last time i checked

Umm... Kiara... its a game bro. Let it go. Its made to have fun. If Square Enix didnt want you to do your own thing why would they make a MMORPG where you can be whatever and whoever you want.
