im new at this site and which race can hold dual sword and how is a samauri different that a warrior besides defence?

Well I'm definately not an expert, but in order to dual wield you will need to sub nin. Even then, it may not be worth it. Great katana is the prefered weapon for sam.

Samurai can't provoke (and from mid level on, shouldn't). The thing that makes sam unique is its ability to build TP quickly, allowing for multiple weapon skills per fight, and the ability to skill chain by yourself.

Warrior to 30. Use a Greataxe. I don't give a shit how you feel about being unique and cool. Greataxe will get you better exp. @30, quest to do samurai. At this point, you'll know so much about the game that if it hasn't driven you mad or made you quit, you'll know the answer to all your questions.

Get to level 30 by being effective, then worry about looking cool.

yea, serious dude. give the guy some reasons, he's new to the game.

great axe rates A+ for warrior, which means that it's skill cap is higher and you'll be more accurate and do more damage than with a lower rated weapon. like sword or great sword for example. skill caps lower, which means you won't be as accurate or do as much damage.

let me answer your questions directly.

any "race" can dual wield if you set your subjob to ninja (after level 20) but all of samurai's good weapons are two-handed weapons, and can't be dual wielded.

samurai is very different from a warrior. a warrior is a direct-damager and/or a tank. a samurai is a skillchain master, creating extra skillchains for the mages to burst off of. (and if you don't know what skillchains are, then please read around a bit more )
