  • New SAM skills

    in the new expansion some classes should get new ... skills like samurai they got all Support SKills maybe get a new one like Jump from dRAGOONS. ive seen a SAM/DRG do it with a GKatana it look sick

    sense Samurai's are basicly SC freaks they should get a bonus damage from the SC when they do there 2 hour

    hmm a sam can do 2 renkei's by himself with his 2 hour, i dont think he needs bonus damage on top of that.

      Setup right a SAM can do much more then just 2 renkei's by himself. Toss in Icarrus Wings and a well placed Meditate along with the right AF gear and already at 100% TP a SAM could easily get like 4 or 5 renkei's by himself.

        When I used my 2 hour (like before a pt disbanded), I would always like whip out like 5 WS. Have 100% Tp->WS->2hour->WS->Meditate->WS->WS->WS (last one can't renkei though. Doesn't fill up in time)

          when used right, sams are already totally devastating.

          i'm all for giving them and all other jobs a cool boost, though^^

                There's no logical reason for SAM to get a jump attack. It's the Dragoon trademark.

                  yea but have u ever seen a Show or Anime where the Samurai jumps high up and slashes down with all his strength slashing the enemey in 2? i have ... soo much gore XD

                    Sure...though the same could apply for Great Sword. If anything it'd make for a cool WS, but not an ability. May as well give THFs an ability where they do a cool-looking 10-hit combo around the enemy too.

                          I'm drawing parallels. Giving THFs a cool-looking 10-hit combo JA isn't very different from giving SAMs a cool-looking jumping vertical slash JA. Tidus doesn't even fight in any remote way shape or form like a THF, by the way...

                          The point is, it's pointless.

                            sam already has so many goodies.
                            i can see that you are enthusiastic about the sam job, but giving it such an ability for the sake of cool points doesnt hardly warrant it being implemented.

                            if you are looking for a cool jumping slash move, well, sam does get one. at lv. 66, they get the weaponskill, tachi: gekko. its very impressive looking. also, g.sword users get groundstrike at lv. 71+ which they lunge forward and slam the ground with their g.sword.

                              I want to see the JA Take A Swig Of Sake and Take A Swig Of Genra added. Effects would be like Berserk in a way. Puts you in a state where you hit really hard but ACC dips a lot. Defense rises though, cause you don't feel pain.
