Thf sub... Sneak Attack Kagero?

So last night, I was partying in the nest by the secret room on some crawlers, and I had 2 monks with me so I had to do 2 lvl1 Fire SC's (Tachi: Kagero > Raging Fists)... At the end, I happened to stack Sneak Attack with Kagero and it seemed to have worked... (I got 184 damage instead of 84) Now I know the normal rule is Elemental WS's shouldn't be used with SA, but is it usable with Kagero and Goten?

SA stacks with all Great Katana WS. So SA + Kagero will work.

It ensures the WS to land but doesn't increase the damage in anyway on many of them.

I tried to do the buffest Kagero possible just for kicks and grins at 75. Figured i'd try with sneak attack but it gave no bonus, my damage was better with WAR sub.

Unless SAM are special, SA does not stack with any Elemental WS.

Now I am under the impression that not only does sneak attack is like a guranteed hit but gurantees critical hit as well... I tried this yesterday when I was farming Dhalmels, I SA'd for 180, and right after it, I Crit'd it for 180 as well...

SA garuntees a critical hit when THF is your sub job. This critical hit cannot miss, and an be used to make sure that the first hit of your WS will hit, any hit after that will depend on your accuracy or any accuracy gained with extra TP if that is a factor in your WS.

Sneak can miss. Really low chance.

Now i realize you're a higher lvl than me, but ive NEVER had SA miss when it was lined up properly. There are times when the mob turns right before it but you dont SEE it turn, and can give the impression it missed, but never has it missed when lined up correctly.

Sneak Attack works awesome with Tachi: Jinpu (wind elemental). I tried it with SA and my highest was 516 (IT mob) i tried it without and my highest was 139 (IT mob). I stopped /THF and when I hit lvl 60 I will sub it, I heard Tachi: Yukikaze + SATA is wicked.


BTW: how is Tachi: Gekko with SATA?

Ive seen Gekko do over 1k in Bibiki at lv 66. Made a 1050 Darkness too ;p

I second toki that sneak can /never/ miss if performed correctly(in back of the mob). There is lag between your PC and the server so the mob could turn towards you while you use sneak without you seeing it.

I thought all GK weapon skills were based on str with additional elemental added to them?
