My static SAM (lvl 67) is my hero...and the reason I decided to take a break from PLD on my Elvaan and try SAM. I fell in love with the job around lvl 15 or so and almost cried the day I had to give the Leaping Boots back to the friend I had borrowed them from. >< Anyway, as he's Elvaan also I have tried to design myself after him. DEX is #1 importance (which I figured out on my own at the lower levels...whiff-fests aren't fun), Attack/Accuracy+ equip helps a lot, and he also has a lot of Ranged Attack/Ranged Accuracy equip since he pulls for us (and has RNG58 >.>). He uses Meat Mithkabobs or Chiefkabobs depending on what he has in stock atm. At one point he was using Tosonoma Rice Balls (lvl 58ish I think) but that got too expensive, even for him. XD I can't keep up with all his equip changes, but his main fighting setup includes Winged Boots, Kotes, Hauby, SAM AF pants, Life belt and either AF hat or Emp hairpin.

Oh, and about farming up gil for stuff, it may seem daunting now, but it does get a bit easier as you level up. I thought I'd never own a Dark or Ice Staff at level 55 so I didn't even bother trying. Then at lvl 60 my static pushed me to get them so I did what I could and now at 67 I have Dark Light Ice Wind and Earth, and as soon as the loot from our last BCNM sells I'll have Fire and Thunder. Also, start fishing now and keep at it...that's one thing I wish like hell I'd done. >.>

I wish the info on jack-o-lanterns would be cleared up.

If you look at halloween...they gave it away. WHy would they give away a food with +10eva and +10acc and it wouldn't cost 10k each?

Jack O Lanterns

Jack O Lanterns give... +10 evasion, +10 accuracy, +25 dark resistance, and -10 CHR and they last for 30mins, they DO give the +10acc/evas and you will notice it. the cost about 1-2k on my server (used to be 200-500g till people found out what they did ) and yes they still work after halloween. they main problem for me is they dont stack. :mad:

I'm pretty sure most Samurai Weaponskills use STR as the primary stat modifier, so make sure you swap in +STR Rings, Belt, Earrings, etc. Right before you use WS.

+Acc/DEX for TP Gain
+Atk/STR for WS

The three WS thats 75%(I think) based on STR are Tachi: Yukikaze, Tachi:Gekko and Tachi: Kasha. The other ones are like 30~50% or so I believe

heh as a 64 sam most WSes need str+ others acc+ like yukikaze ;_; i miss almost all the time if i dont use my sole sushi as for jinpu and enpi i use cheifkabobs gekko will be both.

yea jacks are good for acc (work anytime) plus if you can make em yer set >_> yea im still farming for hauby on fenrir (4mil x.x) so far i can tell the diff between RK mail and Hauby cuz i dont have a hauby.. id like a haub for the str and atck cuz as a mithra mine sux :/

Jackolanterns don't have any attack bonus and make you a lot weaker than you would be with Kabobs. They are honestly only good for low level nins who care about evasion. Even then in my opinion Navarin is better. Kabobs don't have any accuracy and actually aren't even the highest amount of attack you can get at that low a level. They cap pretty high. Your best choice at low levels for attack food is Rice Dumplings.

There's your accuracy + attack right there. Even if you don't care about the accuracy, Dhalmel Pie gives you better attack and other bonuses long before it's a good idea to use mithkabobs. And you can buy them from NPC if Windurst is in first place.

well i will agree with ur research those did work (used his mule) and gl with the hauby (here its 5.5mil) an to all sam's GL
