sam gets boring?

one of my friends that plays a samurai recently quit sam and made a new character cuz he wante to be a taru o.O

anyway, he quit becasue he said it was getting boring. his basic job was a rdm and he said he has nothing to do in fites. i started as a warrior and im afraid i will get bored of sam cuz im not voking or anything. jus watch my self swing my GK. wen im a dmg dealer in a pt cuz we have 2 wars and a pld, i love it, but im afraid doing nothing would bore me. before any of u samurais yell at me, it was my friend, not me that sed u do nothing. i was looking for a true samurais opinion on this. wat do u guys think? does it get boring?

Boring differs from person to person. The best thing to do is play the class for yourself.

I am a 43 SAM its great! i lead skill chains all the time! PTs always love me! Meditate 100TP plus at my Lv i get like 14 TP per hit! others only get like 5-8. TP is a SAMs biznatch. and then with WAR subbed you get double attack at 50 so you gain TP even faster! But its all about preference, i enjoy SAM very much. Plus our AF looks sweet!

For me I think it gets a lil boring. For me its just Have 80TP -> Third Eye -> Medi -> WS -> then wait for TP to get to 100. Its an endless circle of that.

I think it gets really tiring after awhile but you can say that for all jobs really.

Every Job gets boring from time to time... that's just how it is. Prior to lvl 41 as my MNK I began to get tired of it because I was rather weak and lacked anything that would want a party to pick me over any other dmg dealer. Now that I sam 41 I got Raging Fists and Chi Blast and I'm having the greatest time of all my time on here!

So, if you do get bored, stick with it... or try another job out for a while. Either way things will get better as time goes along...

like people say.. it varies from person to person, what's boring, and what's not.

generally i find most of the cases of people saying "job x is boring" is because they've passed level 55 and can't hack it pounding out 20-40k to level up.

that's how you get all of these people with multiple jobs at 60, they level, get af, then quit and switch to something else because they don't have enough willpower to last out 35k level-ups.

I agree with Kujo on this one, it's all about prefrence/Will. I'll take SAM to 75. Or I'll quit the game before then, Either or. Most people get discouraged about not getting parties, and granted I don't have much EXP. With SAM, I was a Horrid WAR/RDM (RDM was lvl 10!!!!!!!!!!) And made it to 30; then switched to lvl 10 MNK! ^^ So it just goes to show ya, most of the time it's all about persistance. If a lvl 25 WAR/10 RDM can make it, a 25 SAM/12 WAR has a pretty good chance of doing so. Besides, watch a movie or two while LFG...That always helps.

..Adding a bit, it also depends on Experience. IF people are good at the job, they'll most likely stick it out, because word DOES get around. And people will be like: 'Oh! It's that "xYour name herex" SAM.I heard he's good. Let's get him.' I got more parties in Yhoator that way....--;

just stick with it.. it gets better.

once you finally equip that haubergeon, or use gekko for the first time and bust a darkness skillchain for 1k on a processionaire, it feels nice

Until you realize out of every job in the entire game you're the only one who can't make a light renkei for the infamous bone PTs until 71 plus. So much for being masters of renkei eh? lol. I love sam, despite it not being as cheeply polished as say end game drk but mine is deffinitly on hold until my BRD hits 75.

My reason for switching to Warrior is because I heard that SAM's got a TP Nerf with their Helms, so Im thinking thats another thing that makes Samurais weaker if you can call them that.

Nothing to do with samurais being boring but Im getting the impression that SE likes to nerf Samurais or something like that.

nerf.. no... we get 20-40 tp more with helm on with meditate so its more of an advatage =p

wtf are you talking about? Im pretty sure Helm used to give more TP back when I first started playing. Maybe you started playing after the Nerf and think its fine but I sure dont.
