How hard are the AF quests for Sam compared to others? Please give an example of what you did each AF. Like, what help you needed.

Can you tell me what the BEST equipment for SAM is from lvl 30-50 before AF? Including rare/ex equipment that if given the choice, you would choose.

Ok.....

1. Well the only SubJob for SAM is WAR, there is none other for a lvup PT.Also after 72 useing a WAR will be your favorit choice trust me
2. AF's of SAM are not that hard, RDM is still top of the list.The Helmet is the hardest ( i used 6xLv75 )
so it was easy but i think at lowerlv's that fight might become a tuff one.
3. SAM is my favorit job atm and this hasent changed in a longtime.its the same rule as DRK, no good equipment = bad playtime.In my view SAM is the best fusion between a fighter and a Tank, therefor he is best for lvup PT's if u have a PLD & DRK a SAM would alway's be my first choice : )
4. THF as SJ is a good idea if u wanna go Farmin, other then that i would say its WAR all the way.

I'm no expert here, but, you need a fair amount of help for the Sam quest. Mainly b/c of the treant you have to kill to access the sacred wood. He's a tuffy.

That said, I had my LS help (3 lvl 30+, 1 lvl 40+) and 2 extremely helpful lvl 60+ JP players. We beat the snot out of the tree in a bout 30 secs. Heh.

Keep in mind, tho, that just getting to that stupid treant is difficult enough. So, yes, you'll need some good help; perhaps I went a bit overboard (I wasn't gonna say NO to some help, after all), but better safe than having to do it again.

i really want to particapte in HNM/BCNM/Dynamis, and i was just wondering if sams are wanted for this?

also does the samurai's party role ever change, like how the drk's (post 60) get to play around with hate control?

i plan to take sam up to 75 regardless with my elvaan, i was just wondering what the future holds for me, thanks^^

..Regarding the GKN's Sam/NIN It depends on the STR. NIN and SAM grow in diffrent amounts of STR, along with Race, sub and stuff added; but to awnser the question; I think SAM's would strike harder with the GKN's.
