The best is having war, thf, rng as sub all the time.
it's the way to play high level sam as japanese experienced character. sometimes they tried sam/drk or sam/mnk for fun.
U need to consider ur level and PT members to take sub job. Write the sub job and ability u can on search comment, and ask which one is the best for PT when u joined.
*caution*
1. do not hope to get PT easily if u don't have sub job as half level of ur main job.
2. leaders might consider which renkei is the most effecient with thier lvl and mobs when they started to search members. it's not important how u can deal good dmg. keep studying what renkei is the most powerful with MB vs the mob on ur level range. (penta is the worst location on renkei line. it's good with soloing only.)
3. sam isn't tank or something after 40ish level. let pld nin war do there job.
- 30/15
war works as sub normally. but u can make fusion renkei with rng sub at low level. otherwise, u can solo with bow till 24,25 if u have rng sub. - simular dmg with rng
30/15 - 57/28
war and thf. but mostly war. cuz u might have PT with thf a lot. they need sharp sub tank to do trick attack and opening renkei. thf can be considered as sub cuz u can use sneak attack from 30 lvl. sneak attack can give 100% hit with ws.(dmg isn't important) samurai misses ws a lot usually...even with high accuracy and mithra race.. elvaan? nuff said.
57/28 - 60/30
now u can use sidewinder as rng sub. don't forget distortion is the renkei that can be used in most of PT vs beetle, crab, spider, etc
60/30 - 65/32
thf's trick attack is great in this level range. u can set mob's position with opening renkei but sidewinder still good with renkei. u MUST ask which sub will work in ur PT and set it up.
65/32 - ?
i am so sorry to say this. only war works after 65. PT members might ask u to 3 lvl renkei only. there is no sub job as warrior to store TP. if u can't believe, just do /sea all sam 70-75. most of them have war as sub, just a few thf.
