Tachi: Hobaku VS Weapon/Shield Bash

I've been using Hobaku quite a bit lately fighting Gobs and it seems just about every time it stops the bomb toss. I've seen Shield Bash and Weapon Bash stop it, but not always. How much of a difference is it between Hobaku and the Weapon/Shield Bash abilities? Is one better than the other?

My tp is usually 120-170 when i use it on a bomb toss also.

From what I've seen Hobaku is 100% when stopping bombs if you get it in on time.
The Bashes, however, seem to be about 25% when fighting ITs.
