Need help with SAM quest. Asura. Also will SAM/NIN, and NIN/SAM be any good?

I got the two items to do the SAM quest, but everyone on my LS either have done the quest, or they simply don't want to do it(hehe it seems everyone wants to be a DRK...). Anyway I was hoping someone from the server Asura would read this message (btw, in game name is Lapoli, PLEASE send me a message).

My main is WHM, but I'm getting tired of it(I'm lvl up my BST, but honestly since it's only lvl 6 I can't do much yet). Now I'm looking for a new job/sub job combination that can be fun and doesn't look weird (like subbing whm to SAM). I know it will take a lot of time to lvl up all of these jobs, but mostly I'll be playing a combination each week (WHM/BLM-->BST/WHM--->SAM/NIN?!?)

So is the SAM/NIN, NIN/SAM any good? what can I expect of it?

BTW I don't want to sub WAR, since I never lvl it up, and don't plan to do it now.

If you don't want to lvl war then don't even bother getting samurai. The best sub and the only sub you should do with sam is war, drk is good too but at higher lvls. Don't be that dood with the Sam/mage combo!

Sorry, I'm not that good with enlgish (it's my second language), so what do you mean by dood? That it's viable to use whm or blm as a sub???

I'm not trying to diss the WAR class, it's just that I'm not willing to invest that much time, I don't want to lvl up 3 classes at a time (SAM, NIN and WAR or DRK). I'm only asking if SAM/NIN and NIN/SAM is any good, so I can concentrate on lvl up only these two jobs without having to spend lots more buying equipment for 3 or 4 classes...

The two biggest reasons for the ninja sub is dual wield and blink. A ninja sub for a samurai is a bit of a waste for the simple fact that Samurais do not typically use 1 handed weapons.

On the other side, the biggest reason for a sam sub is for tp gain. And from what I understand about the ninja job, it is mostly used as a blink-tank. With this in mind the most sensible sub for the ninja is a warrior.

What they are trying to tell you, is that SAM/NIN and NIN/SAM don't particularly work well if you're trying to get the most out of the class. They don't compliment each other really. The most you could do is use weak ninjutsu and dual wield 1 hand swords with a SAM/NIN. And your delay with dual wield will be awfully slow without a NIN main. NIN/SAM would allow you to obtain TP quicker, and only once you got to lvl 60.

WAR is the best choice in either situation. Which is why if you're serious about having a SAM or a NIN, you should level up a WAR. There's nothing that says you HAVE to. You may be able to get by with another combination. But /WAR is preferred by parties, and it'll probably serve you better in the long run...
