From what I've taken in.. you get a quest for af1, 2, 3, and the gloves.. so for the pants and armor do i need to talk to somebody for a quest? or do i just go open the coffer and wah-lah! my af appears? or what? =_=

killingifrit's info on sam af kinda sucks.. so if seul or nodachi could post like.. exactly what i'm supposed to do (if it's too much to ask, i can just ask around elsewhere XP)? because i'm completely stumped aside from af2..

af3 for instance.. it says the requirement is to finish af1 (done.. has been for awhile) and a sam of 50 (yep, i fit that too) but i can't get in to gilgamesh's room? @_@??

and it says to get the af pants from the coffer i need to have completed the gloves quest, but the gloves are 56, and the pants are 54? @_@???

Thats the order the AF quests go. Dont bother trying to talk to gilgamesh Jaucibraux will escort you to him later for AF6(Helmet).

As for the Coffer Quests you have to go to Upper Jeuno and talk to Guslam. After you recieve the quest you have to go to Kuftal Tunnel and get a coffer key look for th coffer open it and youll get gloves. You cant wear these gloves yet they have to be repaired go back to Guslam.You then go to a ??? by the auction house in jueno. After this You have to go to a dungeon and kill an NM after this youll get your gloves. For AF pants and chest you go back to guslam.

so i DO have to do the quest for the 56 AF gloves before the 54 AF pants? @_@ that just baffles me..

He's half right.

To get AF2, you have to have finished AF1 and be at least a level 50 samurai. Once you have accepted or completed AF2, you are allowed to accept the Bolghertz's Ghost quest from Guslam. Once you have accepted/completed that quest, you are allowed to open the coffers to recieve you AF pants and body parts. AF3 can be accepted once you've finished AF2.
