  • question on subs

If i were to lvl my monk to lvl.30 and then switch to SAM and then get to lvl.18 with my SAM and make my sub a monk do I need to re-level him or will he be at lvl.9 since i lvled him to 30

IF your monk was lvl 30, by the time you reach lvl 18 with SAM, your monk sub will be lvl 9. I suggest leveling your SAM to lvl 30 and going MNK/SAM instead because from what i hear SAM kinda sucks as a main until you reach lvl 30, so you might as well go all the way. Good luck.

SAM is a very good sub job once your main reaches Lv. 60
          Like WAR/SAM , DRG/SAM, .....
best thing to do is to level up your WAR or etc to 60
          then sub SAM

          WAR 18, WHM 14, BLM 4, THF 46, DRG 42, NIN 21

SAMs are not suck, they are just as good as any other jobs, but they are even better as a sub job. Specially when your main job is lv. 60+

The main part is to do what you want..It's your account dont let anyone tell you how you should play. I've played with SAM's and I think they're awesome
