25RDM/12BLM Gear - Gimp or not ?

Thats 25RDM, not 2, I typo'ed the title, but can't edit it (<_<)

Still building up the vast wealth needed to equip RDM well, but here's what I'm running with - Is this good bad or indifferent?

Tourmaline Ring
Fasting Ring
Beetle harness
Traders Cuffs
Traders Slops

Dhalmel Mantle

I do pretty well in most things - Solo up to EM with only the occasional moment of terroar! Party pretty well, not too much downtime - Vary foods depends on situation, from Sweet Rice Cakes to Rolanberry Pies, to bigger bang foods like Flurry Courante - and juice, always carry juice!

SO, can I take this to 30? or what should I swap/upgrade/never be seen in Jeuno wearing again...

First of all.. It's only level 30, as long as you wear a bit decent gear, you shouldn't worry about it much. I do have some small suggestions.

Silver Earring - What are you doing with Evasion-1? Do you not melee? At some point Red Mage's have to stop using melee, but if you do melee at your current level, you'd be better off with beetle earrings. What about Energy Earrings for MP?

Dhalmel Mantle - Doesn't matter much, but you could get a Night Cape, Nomad Cape or a Traveler's Mantle. Or how about a Mist Silk Cape? Mnd is good for Paralyze and Slow.

Tourmaline Ring - This might be the only piece of item you really might want to switch out, namely for Mnd or Int rings.

The rest is fine, you can always perfectionize it but I just picked out the 3 most important ones.

Generally speaking, pieces that only have elemental resistance on them are a not good to wear for exp and will get you laughed at. The only time I can think of that elemental resistance gear becomes an issue is for a few things at high level and fire resistance for anything that explodes (goblins, bombs, pots etc) but being rdm you can protect yourself pretty well in that department anyway seeing as how you get your own barspells.

Quest yourself a justice badge, it's free and doesn't take long. The +3 mnd is nice for rdm (silence, slow, paralyze, dia, cures, stoneskin etc)

Edit: Actually since you are 25, might as well wait one level and get a Holy Phial instead. Same thing with +9mp as well.

Also, if you don't mind insane amounts of swapping, because you are going to want to make sure you aren't wearing it for the vast majority of your spells, and want to max out your melee damage then a fang/spike necklace is cheap and good.

In the waist slot, there is a level 20 belt that give MP recovery while /heal --- equip it when you are healing; swap out when you are doing something else. If you are going to swing your sword or dagger, I suggest a pair for Battle Gloves (acc+3)

More MND and INT, and a wand. If you do the jungles, you don't want to be melee'ing Goblin (*kaboom*) and Mandragora (*zzzzz snore*).
