I've been wanting to try soloing this guy for awhile on RDM. Wiki has him raging after 20 min, with about 15k HP. I think it's possible for a well geared/prepared RDM to kill before the timer. Amikiri has over 25k HP and I've soloed it many times in just over 30 min.
Would likely go with /nin, using Blau + Joyeuse. Chainspell at the start and pump out as many Thunder III's as possible, Convert, Cure IV, and finish Chainspell off with more nukage. Should be able to take off close to 6k of his HP within the first couple minutes, assuming at least 10 unresisted nukes.
After CS wears, pop a Vile Elixir +1, and go into /nin melee phase, making sure to nuke whenever mp and shadows allow.
It might also be worth using a martial dagger instead to get better MP returns from Energy Drain.
Of course, getting the claim is another story. But I'd really love to try it out some time.
