Thanks, and actually I am rewriting it in the near future as soon as I finish putting together Dynamis strats for my LS, as I've started trying some new stuff, gotten some new gear, and learned some new things since I made this. It will be done on our LS site www.moghousels.com when we finish it and get it to be more than just forums, for now it'll be in the FFXI Related section under Calli's Corner, my COR and BRD guides will end up there as well after they get alot of fixing.

I'm sure I'll necro this again to post when the new version is done.

I haff spotted a grand oversight though! (I'm looking at the word file downloaded from the OP, so if this version is old and the oversight has since been added, ignore me at your leisure.)

Within Tangent #3's Party Buff Cycle section, your Refresh priority goes:

Yourself > PLD > BLU/BLM/SMN > other

Your dia/bio hierarchy goes dia > bio > dia2 > bio2 > dia3 > bio3.

From a purely petty viewpoint, should this not actually be denoted as dia < bio < dia2 < bio2 < dia3 < bio3..?


Aaaand, in your description of the spell Paralyze, you state "Paralyzes the target, making them occasionally unable to move while the effect is active." This made me do a double-take, simply because the term 'to move' struck me as an actual movement thing, rather than the effect of 'unable to act'. This was further made implicit when I read your description for Bind a few lines below: "Renders target unable to move. Not to be confused with unable to act." (Your emphasis there.)

Haha, I found a few oversights when I started reworking it, yet that one completely escaped me. However to cover my tail I'm going to go with 'Tell WHMs to /SCH and STFU!' >.>

Beats me, lol. I guess it could vary depending on how you view the pacmans, I was looking at them as hiearchy arrows of sorts, while I gather you saw them as 'greater thans'?

Hah, that's kind of funny that I went out of my way to make that distinction with Bind then messed it up myself on Paralyze...thanks for pointing that out!

Anyways, old guide is shot and dead mostly due to being waaaaaay too long, the beginnings of the new guide are up @ the link posted above, I believe they are viewable by the public...although we are moving to yet another new website soon once we figure out how to fix our frontpage CSS(3 complete amateurs designing a LS site, good times), but I have a small bit of scraps there now.

How about the section on tanking? I tanked Feeler Antlion last night for about 5 pops, then I had to log and get dinner...

I came back into the next fight around 20minutes into it, and got myself to the top of the enmity list about 30seconds later.

Do you have a section dedicated for RDM Tanking? I have a lot of fun input on that topic.

Yeah, I was dumping the Dynamis/Limbus sections in favor of that, there will be a tanking section.

I actually just got my Enmity gear set together, Beavertail x2, Harmonia's Torque, Warwolf, Resentment Cape, Eris' Earring, 1 merit, and a Cache-nez from my PLD if I want to toss it in...currently working on my magic reduction set, but that's both expensive and rare, so far have 2 NQ Coral Rings, Resentment Cape, and Coral Cuisses+1, 2 more rankups til I can get Lieutenant's Sash.

Of course now that I have gear for it all of a sudden 8 tanks show up to every event, going to get a chance to play w/ Genbu/Seiryu real soon though, I'm sooooo freaking stoked to try Chainspell Utsusemi vs. Hundred Fists just to see if I can straight tank it.
