Actually, I've told you why I originally picked up Bard, right? It was to be a sub to PUP. Considering that I don't have any "good" subs for pup (IE WAR8 and MNK7), and I've never been much for melee to begin with... my choices were pretty much limited to WHM and WHM. Since, at the time I didn't like the fact that I didn't have access to my higher tier Cures (up until then I was a career WHM), I decided to work on BRD through to 37, and then sub it to PUP. However, at 37, I decided I loved Bard, and just took it through to 74, where it sits right now... as I'm too lazy (among other things) to get it the rest of the way to 75.

The reason I started RDM was to one day sub PUP.

My first thought was "reminds me of the mnk/drg I had in a merit pt" .

But MNK/DRG is an actual viable sub. Or is it totally wrong to do this again? Or is it only good in Ballista now or something?

Meh... MNK/DRG has the highest Haste Cap (With wyvern earring). But all the Haste doesn't mean anything if you can't hit worth a piss. But with melee subbing NIN now, who knows how much /DRG affects damage in the grand scheme of things. At least you get a "free" Peacock Charm. :-S

lol, I guess that's true. I'd think MNK/DRG would be okay, since you could jump and lose some hate? But meh. I like MNK/DRG in Ballista a lot, only because it seems to be so strong, and terribly annoying with those jumps.

RDM/PUP is a great combo. Then you hit level 6, and the damage starts to drop off. Some stick with it all the way to lvl 10, but I prefer mnk/thf/war/whm/blm/sam/nin/smn/drg/pld/drk/cor/brd/blu/bst or perhaps rng, or even no sub at all.

when you say keep up, does that mean in TP? or actual over all dd?
i hardly doubt mnk/drg can out dd a mnk/war.
perhaps out TP yes, not dd. is there a parse where you saw this from?
