I got beat for 2nd time.

But now I know my weakness.

MP. Both times its becuase I ran outta MP. "nd time fore so, both time I didnt think to sleep him after I had ran out to REST. Actually I was too busy smahing my Aero III macros to trya dn end it quickly :p

SO I will go next time with 3 stacks of mulsams, 2 super ethers, 1 pro-ether. If I can sell my RSE then Ill gte a vile elixer as well for good measure.

Gotta keep telling myself, there's no rush...

Oh I was cocky too. I thought I was the best thing since sliced bread. I could heal any party, manage my MP, stay alive on the occasions I drew hate. I was assuring my victory on the first try!
Yea, well I got paralyzed and proceded to get pwned because I mispelled Paralyna in my macro -.-;;
So, make sure all your macros work before stepping in the burning circle!

Seeing as how your subjob is locked upon entry, there's not much that Paralyna could have done for you anyhow.

I have a vile elixir +1 - I'll send it over to you tonight, pay me back when you can - anything that gives you 1/2 your mp back is well worth it. Probably come from one of my mules, but np.

I WON!!!!111oneone!

This time I went (and broke myself but nothing tele-whoring cant fix) 1 Crimson Jelly, 3 Super Ethers, 1 Pro-Ether, 4 stacks of Mulsum, 3 Yag Drinks, Vile Elixer.

Then, outside the BC I was gonna heal for MP....and i hit the Chainspell Macro ><

Soooo..... I thougth CS wasnt really necessary, fight would just take longer. In I went.

Used 2 Yag's, 2 Super-thers, dunno how much Mulsum (LOTS).

Didnt once heal, used Convert, and only one "iffy" momwbt when Maat CS'ed me and both Sleeps got resisted...in that time I took a beating, and he got bind, pro4 and shell off. as soon as Sleep 1 was up it went smooth again.

Exit fight 8min 30s later, with 130MP, 800HP and a Vile Elixer (resell), Pro-ther and a few hi pots.

Woot! Grats Hongman! Now we don't have to hear your constant moaning about being beat by Maat..err..I mean now you can contribute valuable information to up and coming red mages!

1/3 isn't too bad for what some argue to be the toughest (or one of the toughest) Maat fights.

Now go get 200k exp and hit 75! Good luck. ^_^

Ok , beat down the old man this morning. Marron Glace for the mp. Hit the floor running , wanted to see what he buffed with. I cast StoneSkin , blink , drink a Yag. Sleep II , Dispel 3 times , Bind , Aero III. He cast Water III but doesnt get through Stoneskin. I Sleep II again, rebuff just incase with Blink ,Stoneskin , Bind Aero III. ( I decided to wait before casting Aero III to make sure Sleeep II was ready again). Repeated one more time he tried Fire II but I slept him. I figure Id throw a gravity at him but it didnt stick. Sleep breaks and he chainspelled. I quickly Sleep II again and then convert. I probably could have just let lose with Aero III but played it safe and rebuffed. Convert , Chainspell , Bind Aero III x4 game over. He got off 1 spell not counting the buffs at start. 4minz 15 seconds. I went in on Winds Day for the extra boost. Was a very easy fight.

I thank you all for these great tips, I'm going after Maat and I have never been a good soloer >.>;; I'll have to try these soon, and perhaps turn around my luck with soloing too.
