  • stacking testimonies?

    Hi,
    I just got my first testimony after soloing ruby quadav for the 4th time -_-;
just wondering if rdm testimonies can stack, because i would prefer to have at least one or two more testimonies to bring with me just incase im not successful with maat the first try. i dont feel like having to run back and forth each time if im getting bad luck with maat.

    Thanks for any responses. ^^

Yeah, the same applies for the other job's Tests. None of them stack.
Good luck and let us know how you did.

            Re: stacking testimonies?

..so yeah maat kicks my behind
i didnt bring any good meds, just a melon pie +1 and a yagudo drink, and cheap stuff like one hi-ether, and a high potion/xpotion.
i was about two aero 3's away from finishing him off, but i ran out of mp and just let him kill me.

so i go off immediatly to get another testimony. but i have a prob. ive soloed ruby quadav 6 times as im typing this and all those times he hasnt dropped a testy yet.

did i have to talk to maat again before hunting for another testimony? because i didnt do that and just went off to qulun dome so i can get another and try again.

or am i just having bad luck and the testimony has a low drop rate anyway?
ive tried all this morning to 11 pm right now and im going to call it a night.
thanks for any answers, im pretty sure ill get him next fight as ill be saving up gil for a few super-ethers or potions to bring to the fight

              Re: stacking testimonies?

Just bad luck. Testimonies have a horrible droprate. It took me about 21 Saphire Quadavs to get mine. Luckily I went 1/1.

in my 2 trys to beat him he never used any Weapon Skills on me, i was able to keep my distant and was only problem the first time was when sleep failed and i was one Aero III away from winning, my second try i went to on watersday and everything went the same (or close enought) but this time my last sleep stuck and got my Aero III off and won it's best to go on windsday so you Aero has a bit more of a kicked from the elemental day matching that of you spell, good luck

                    Re: stacking testimonies?

well...on my third try i got him!

the first two attempts on him i tried the staple method of aero 3/sleep/bind/ rebuff if needed, after 3 aeros or so chainspell/convert etc. first time i ran out of mana after convert to finish him off, second time i ran out of well...time >.<

spent alot of time soloing quadav as he was really stingy on dropping the testy for me. last night i was just about to kill him and then i dced >.<, when i came back he was running back towards his regular spot so i pulled him quickly and all three came and with less than half health i was dead. (i accidently engaged the battle so it was slow for me to run towards zone)

i was determined to kill him one last time before bed so i darted back to qulun dome after i hped to jeuno, and after i killed him he finally dropped it. the next day i logged on ready to by some meds and think over my strategy but it was darksday as i logged. so i just bought a pro ether, 4 super ethers and a melon pie +1 and was ready to take on maat again.

basically i changed my strategy a bit after reading a few posts. ran into the battlefield sleep1 him, dispel him (shell was the first dispel to go off ^_^) sleep 2 him buffed up, and hit chainspell immediately!!. i landed 4 aeros on him, sleep/bind him, converted healed myself rebuffed used a proether and wailed on him a couple more times. after those two aero 3s i slept and my chainspell ran out. i popped 2 super ethers and aero 3'd him for the last time and won!!!

i danced around my apartment for a bit and warped back to jeuno to recieve my new lvl limit. ah such a relief, i felt like i was going to be lvl 70 forever (have 4k till 71 ^_^).

                    wooohoooo!!!!!!

                      congrats.
That's my favourite strategy too, just run in and sleep.
