Got NIN to 19 so far...18 more levels to go (altough Ill prolly get it to 30 and stop whilst i get RDM to 60)

I thought you need the exposure to explode to get the ashes. They never hurt me more than a 2-300HP when they do so.

The 75 helper can go in alone once they got through the first door.

Explosures can still drop it without exploding. The Self-Destruct move is the same one that all bomb types have - I've seen those Explosures blow up for over 1300 damage to a level 65 player on a failed resist. It's a relatively low risk, but it's there if you can't deal a lot of damage to it at the start of a fight, since Self-Destruct's damage triggers off of current HP.

Edit > About Explosures, I've never ever seen an Explosure actually explode, or at least that I remember, haven't fought those in a year or two.

But they do drop the item in normal kill, that's for sure.

Agreed that things are more enjoyable with friends. But if you've already done something solo, there's no reason to go back and do it again with a friend just to.
