Things to do when I hit 75

I'm 73 now and hopefully will be 75 within the week. I have up to date BLM and WHM subs. NIN lvl 0, BLU lvl 13. I'm on mission 5-2 for Windurst. I have no Zilart or CoP missions done. No assaults done.

I don't ever want to do anything that takes more than 1 group or some kind of scheduled gameplay. That's why I stopped playing the WoW raiding game and if the choice is between WoW raiding or FFXI raiding I'd rather play WoW. I also don't want to spend tons of hours camping some NM or farming or grinding merits.

My question is, what kinds of fun things can I do at 75 to either improve my job or are just cool to do? Here's a couple, I'd like to hear what's feasible and maybe some other suggestions.

Solo 5-2.
Solo other Windurst missions (possible?).
Solo Ose (is he overcamped or will I have no problems claiming him?)
Solo a BC or ENM that has loot rewards.
Solo some Avatar Primes.
I'd like to do CoP missions but they sound like a ton of work and I don't see many CoP groups forming.
I'd think I'd like doing assaults but I don't see all that many assault groups forming. Are there assault linkshells or is it just not that popular?
Are the Zilart missions worth doing or are they a pain in the rear like CoP?
I'd like to solo some other NM's that aren't camped much and drop something useful, are there any?

-Find a way to solo exp. Lots of RDMs are successful across servers.
-Solo BCs. Look to Avesta for tips and hints.
-Solo Bune ... lol. If you haven't got an enhancing sword yet.

Level up NIN at least ... you'll need it.

Soloing 5-2 should be no problem at 75.

6-1->9-2, some are soloable, others are nigh impossible. The final BC cannot be solo'd mainly due to the NPC helper in the final part of the BC can be 1-shot by the mobs.

Ose should be pretty easy to solo, with the Nuke->Sleep method. You will probably have more trouble poping Ose, since many people exp in ToAU areas now.

There are not a lot of BCs a RDM can solo, most of which are capped. There are a few ENMs RDM can solo (example Fire in the sky) but they need access to certain parts of CoP

All but Fenrir and Diabolos can be soloed by RDM, though Garuda/Leviathan/Shiva can be difficult.

CoP is worth it in some cases, but not for everything. The rewards for completing it are unmatched, but it takes a lot of man hours to get there. It will take 6 good people to get through it all. Having access to the zones is usefull for some exping as well as some items that can only be gotten in those zones.

For assaults, if you can find 2 other people, a tank and a DD, you should be fine for 90% of them. The 3 of you as a set should have no problem with all but 4 of the missions from the first 3 ranks of assault.

You can get through Zilart in 1-2 days with a PT. They were introduced when the game had lower lvl caps, but now that 75 is the cap, they are very easy.

For NMs, look up NMs on Wiki, Mysterytour and Somepage. There are many less camped NMs that RDM can solo no problem. (And Bune is still camped by RMT, at least on Bismarck)

I watched a Lvl 75 RDM/NIN solo 5.2 just last week. It took about 25 mins and was quite impressive.

/NIN is not needed for RDM soloing and I often consider it to be a crutch. I have solo'd 5-2, the 6 avatars, several BCNMs and a handful of NMs mostly using /WHM or /DRK.

Thanks guys. I'm probably going to start with 5-2 as it sounds pretty fun and then work on the avatars while I level up ninja on the side. I'd love to get an enhancing sword but it sounds like Bune is pretty overcamped. "Fire in the Sky" ENM looks pretty promising so I will work on the CoP missions to get access as that seems pretty doable.

Is it safe to assume that any NM that drops a good or valuable item is going to be RMT camped? I heard of some RDM on the KI forums expressing interest in soloing Ungur but he only drops some rare/ex boomerang and some generic wyvern junk. Is there something worth killing him for?

It think its just for the challange of saying "hey I soloed a lvl 80 NM, i roxors". The boomerang is the best (and only) Evasion+ 'rang in the game, so its really nice for THF and NINs.
