  • Job changed to RDM

Hello I switched from a lvl 3 War. to a RDM in my manual it said your supose to get new clothe and weapon.. Was curious why this didnt happen.. Am I'm right to think that Now i gotta go to AH and find RDM armor at lvl 1? also in the AH i try to buy some lvl 1 stuff and the text is in Yellow most low lvl gear and it seems the price history says 1k+ how is this possible for an Onion sword and so forth? Also any sugestions for a lvl 3 RDM to lvl up at. I'm in San'adora or how it's spelt. Thanks for any info.

just wear the same armour you start with. as for a new weapon, well that you have to buy, but if you started with WAR you should also start out with the onion sword.

as for leveling, just level outside of Sandoria in the Ronfares (East or West, doesn't matter)

    Thanks Yyg!

Onion sword and other onion equipment can be traded in a town called Selbina, during the quest "Donate to Recycling" this gives Selbina fame which increases fame in Jeuno (the big city). As it increases fame the price is representative of that.

If you want a better sword the go to K-7 in sandoria south to the shop "Helborts Blades" and buy a Bronze Sword(Price: 246 - 278 gil). Best thing to do is check all the shops for new armour etc i.e. leather armour at lvl7 its cheaper than the AH. If the shops don't have the gear you need then go to the AH. a bronze sword on the AH costs 1k min. 700gil+ more than you can buy in a shop!

Best thing to do, explore sandoria go in every shop check prices of gear, write them down, and what level they are price etc. this includes the guilds as the tanners guild may have cheap rabit mantels and leather gear. if you decide to go back to warior then try using a small axe, these hit harder than a sword and lateron paties prefer an axe welding warrior to a swrod welding one (though this is open to debate).

Good luck and have fun, you may die many times, but its a learning curve so don't worry about it.

The new clothes and weapons thing is unique to teh first character you start. You get the basic race clothes and a weapon (and spell if a mage) to start you off. this onyl applies to your first job, all your other jobs you have to buy new gear for or use what you have if it is compatible and the correct level.
