    Blinds an enemy, lowering its accuracy.

    Cast Time: 2 seconds
    Recast Time: 7 seconds
    Lowers an enemy's defense and gradually deals light elemental damage.

    Paralyze II
    Type: White Magic
    Element: Ice
    Skill: Enfeebling Magic

    Recast Time: 20 seconds
    Paralyzes an enemy.

    Phalanx II

    Grants a party member a certain amount of damage resistance.

    Damn, phalanx2 is like warp2... it's way too mp prohibitive to be added to a cycle for a melee party. Tank onry!

    On the brighter side, mp cost for those spells doesn't seem too bad. Especially bio3 and dia3.

      I think a lot of Paladins are going to be happy.

              I think he wants it to be lesser than Phalanx, so RDM is still the best at damage migitation.

                Yes I would want it to have more :x not sure why you'd think conversely. My wording kind of implies that more is preferable.

                I could imagine that since it's individually targetable now, it may have less straight-up damage reduction at first tier. Although that's just speculation.

                    I dunno, I read it the way he meant it. It would be cool if it did more (and lasted longer too plz), so it would be useful soloing and in party.

                      If you add a merited RDM and a merited WHM to a party (Phalanx II + Defender + Protectra V) you basically can have a PLD tank for a merit chain party and not expend mp so much. This combination will make PLD viable for merit parties, just that they need support people to back them up.

                      Now, whether or not RDMs and WHMs will agree to cooperate is another story ._. Traditionally both of these mages have only wanted to be included in NIN tank PTs because they claim that the exp flow rate is much better.

                      We'll see...

                        If I'm in a Paladin party, I always want a WHM or BRD anyways.

                          Having cap'd Enhancing Magic just last night: ugh!!

                          I wonder how long it will last, and how much damage resistance it provides... I should have 5/6 tonight as soon as I log in. Just have to decide which one to make the 5th. Blind II, or Phalanx II. With this info, probably leaning towards Phalanx II.

                            I have doubts SE would think one would want to reduce the recast time from 10 seconds to less than that, so it's likely meriting it further will make it last longer or reduce damage more.
