    From what I read, it said it could be spells, job traits, or job abilities. So SMN gets 5 or 6 new Blood Pacts, while another job may only get a Job Trait.

    I never thought about Gravity II, and I would really love that! Since Gravity /recast is just so annoyingly long, and I love Gravity!

    I'm not expecting much from this update for RDM, but none-the-less I did get my mitts on 3 Merits tonight, and hopefully 3 more merits tomorrow night. So I can get something once the update's done.

      Refresh II doesn't seem too farfetched, it could do something like 4-5 MP/tic.

      Infact, there's alot of tier II enfeebles that are possible, like Slow II, Gravity II, Bio III, etc.

        I think everyone is being far too optimistic. Meritable Resist Petrify seems much more in line with S-E's way of changing the game. They rarely make major changes to any class even if they are badly needed, so I really doubt they are going to throw out any of the things mentioned here.

          Thanks for the explanation.

          Reflect wouldn't be too overpowered if it had a limit, sort of like Utsusemi. Dia 3 and stuff doesn't seem too out of the question.

          I agree, with the above post. I'll try not to think too highly of what we'll get. At least when it comes to a disappointment, it won't hurt so much

            Rumor has it, BST is only getting a few Resist job traits, and that's it. So it appears they are going to be cruel, so you can pretty much bank on them being cruel to RDM. Then again, the update's tomorrow. We'll know soon. Either way I'm getting kinda excited for it either way. I hope to have 6+ Merits to spend by tomorrow, and we can go from there!

            What time does the maint. start anyway?

              1 hour till the Maintenence starts, and I can see it now:

              Diaga II (150MP) 5 merits
              Bio III (300MP) 5 merits
              Dia III (300MP) 5 merits
              Banish 5 merits
              Flash 10 merits

                Flash would be cool. I'd be happy with Break and Flash (even though I don't know what Break does, it sounds like an enfeeble lol).

                  Dont count on bio so much for RDM, shouldnt BLM get it seeing as RDM only gets bio much later than BLM?

                  For RDM i wouldnt mind to see an ability that allows the RDM to cast a self-spell on someone in the pt, like phalanx and ice-spikes amongst the others, something like a 5 min recast ability

                    RDM gets Bio (lvl10) and Bio II (lvl 36), BLM gets them at lvl 10 and 35 so there isn't really a difference between both jobs.

                    However even IF we get them I expect those spells to cost way too much MP to be worth casting.

                      BST getting resist traits was just a shitty joke, at least for now..

                        Break, if related to Breakga, is Petrify. The Jailor of Justice(? of Temperance?) does Breakga when you're fighting it. Breakga is nasty, it's horrible, and I doubt SE will be so considerate to give it to any job. (Real nasty when the AoE petrify hits 2/3rds of your alliance and the Jailor immediately follows up with a Stonega IV. Oh, gawd, the pain...)

                        Though a turned down Break wouldn't be bad if it only lasted for a few seconds. Something similiar to stun.

                          If they add Reflect I guess it'll be like a magic Blink, that would reflect/absorb 2 or 3 spells. It might be nice for soloing, but it's far from something RDM really needs...

                            Here we go! New merit abilties (spells actually) from an official announcement.

                            - Dia III
                            - Slow II
                            - Paralyze II
                            - Phalanx II
                            - Bio III
                            - Blind II

                            I'm not sure how many merit points are needed to obtain each spell but anyway, I'm pleased to see these new spells. They will further enhance RDM's solo ability and contribution to XP PT.

                              I so freaking knew it, but it'll make soloing much easier, still kinda dissapointed about not getting Refresh II though but it's a bit better than I thought.
