  • Gear Question

I have been working on my gear for various situations recently, as I am asked to do more and more with my linkshell. I know what I still need to buy for convert, my main healing gear is sorted (apart from the obvious dalmatica I covet), my /drk gear serves me well. Then I suddenly realised I don't know what is going to be best for kiting. Defensive gear - well I need to camp a jelly ring for me - every time I go a paladin is always with me and wants it, and being the kind soul I am I pass on it; I can get a cheviot cape, but is there anything else people suggest?

    Re: Gear Question

hmm do you really have to kite that thing :O? From it's level it looks possible to straight melee. Haven't hunted it yet but I'll have to try it soon. I want the ring too.

    Just a thought.
    For casting bind/gravity it's enfeeble+INT gear obviously.
Then when you run around kiting probably refresh gear if the fight is going to last long. For a mob strong enough for us to not want to melee I'm not sure how much defense or evasion gear will help.

      Re: Gear Question

You can probably solo the jelly ring by pulling the Sewer Syrup with Bind and Gravity to the zoneline (remember Sneak!). Since it's an NM, it will not despawn if you zone. This gives you an out by giving you a safe option for Convert or just a breather if it goes on a Fluid Spread rage.

Sorry should have made myself clear - damn drinking at lunchtime. I was meaning in general for kiting - I intend to camp Sewer Syrup as part of my gear for it... Blame the alcohol /blush

For anything lvl 38+ (Powder Boots) 2 or 3 (sometimes 4) depending on what you are kitting, no better way to avoid damage than not being there in the first place.
