    cure
    wait 5
    cure
    wait 5
    cure
and have it like so i dont have to select a new target like i can just click that macro once and leave it for 4 cures???? then do it again and if so how is the macro set up

    Re: macro

Well... You could, but it's wasteful and generally a bad idea. If hate bounces off your tank (or whoever you're curing), you'll be wasting cures while the new target gets pounded. Or if you need to cast some other spell. Or if your tank only needs one cure. Or if the mob misses more than you expect. If you're going to play mage jobs, you're going to have to get used to mashing macros constantly, unless you re-train yourself to be a menu mage.

But anyway, if you really must:
    /ma "Cure" <stpc>
    /wait 5
    /ma "Cure" <lastst>
    /wait 5
    /ma "Cure" <lastst>

<lastst> targets the last thing selected with any of <st>, <stpc>, or <stnpc>.

        Re: macro

Yeah, a macro like that might be handy to top someone off after battle if they're in the red. But in battle, you really should be looking for opportunities and adjusting to things as they happen; just spamming Cure won't cut it in most parties.

          Re: macro

not a good idea imo. As a rdm you'll be going other things too. Macro for a single cure is better. So you can easily do something else as you need.

At low level you are expect to help cure, but dont let your other debuff spell rot. Use paralyze at beginning of the battle will give you time to cast other spell if it stick. Blind, slow, dia is great to help kill the mob faster while reducing the amount of healing.

If you can't be bothered to cast Cure more than once without a macro, I'd hate to see how you'll react to acquiring Refresh at level 41...

                  Re: macro

If I need to cure while meleeing, like on my paladin, I make a macro for cure

                  /ma "Cure" <stpc>

I hit the macro, then use the F1-F6 keys to target the person. Then hit enter to cure.

On a main mage job, I stay disengaged from the mob. I use the simpler macro

                  /ma "Cure" <t>

Now I select the person beforehand with F1-F6, then hit the macro. I stay locked on to the person, so I can just spam that macro for a 1-key cure. Here, though, I need a seperate macro ' /target <bt> ' to aim at the mob again, whereas with the first setup I stay locked onto the mob.

I end up in a cycle (especially early on where hate bounces around) F-key, cure, F-key, cure, F-key, cure. When I get a good tank that holds hate, its simply F-key, cure, cure, cure, cure..

                    Re: macro

I believe you can also make a macro for each individual party member (but who has that much space on their macro palettes?) by typing:

                    /ma "Cure" <Name>

but I'm not 100% sure that's right because I've never used that.

At any rate, make one Cure macro that you'll use, whether you choose <t> or <stpc> (all preference, really), it's best to have that macro with just one cure spell on it. Once you get used to your party rhythm, you'll instinctively know that macro anyway and have no trouble hitting it multiple times.

Easier than /ma "Cure" <name> is /ma "Cure" <p0> - <p5> , where <p0> is the first party member, <p1> the second etc.
