I actually managed to get this video from Atseva's site. I didn't sit through all 37 minutes of it, but it seems very similar if not identical to his Ash Dragon fight. Compared to that NM, Bune looks like a piece of cake.

- Maximizes the defensive buffs available to rdm/nin
- Maintains obligatory Slow/Para on the mob
- Uses only weapons that do 0 damage to prevent the mob from gaining TP and using specials
- Deals damage only through En-spell damage and well-rationed Blizzard III casts
- Rinse and repeat for an excruciating period of time

I applaud the feat, but I have to say it's incredibly boring to watch. I take pride in my soloing accomplishments, but I would probably never take it to this level. I just don't have that kind of patience.

Comments on strategy: The 0 damage trick is clever, and certainly puts a highlight on the immense staying power of rdm/nin. Choice of Blizzard III over Thunder III puzzled me for a minute until I remembered most rdm merit ice magic accuracy. I still don't understand why he doesn't use Poison II, though. Grendal has shown what an efficient source of damage that spell is.

Not much else to say about the video except that guy has exceptional skill, equipment, and patience.

Agh. I just watched him solo Marquis Orias in Dynamis Xarcabard. Total absurdity. His strategy is simply to pop one of three Reraise Gorgets with rotating recasts, throw Utsusemi to buy him enough time to cast Bio II and Poison II, then die. Wait a while to let DoTs work and Gorgets recharge, Reraise and repeat. I can't imagine the amount of time, money, and experience this must've cost him.

He did get two drops. The one I can read is 1 Byne Bill, the other I'm told is the BLM Relic hat.

Thx Taskmage for your insight. I recall in the first Bune movie, he casted poison on Bune, well, my memory may fail me on this @@ . But totally agreed, poison does good damage and Bio II will also good for cutting down the dmg dealt by Bune as well.
