    Re: Renarudo's Maat Mashin'

Oh NO! If I had Moldavite, I would have DEFINATELY used it.

lol, I'm glad you asked that question, because the Magic Attack Bonus helps. It's just one INT from a greater total, so it may be ok to sacrifice it in place of extra nukage. There is no preference either or, because having one of the oter won't make noticeable difference.

But the Moldavite, in general, is an awsome earring to have, so if you have access to it, by all means, use it.

Heh, yeah, I spent many a day with some friends in there, finally after like 10 no drops, BAM, I was happy XD.

      Double Post Edited:
I'm no where near Maat, but could you give me some advice/upgrades on gear?

        What's cheaper on your server Squerril, +3 lvl54 or +3 lvl36 rings.

Honestly, both the same stat, but you could be saving money, lol

And when subbing BLM, the Elemental Earring is Godly.

Last I checked (Been awhile): Those Wisdom Rings were 105k each, the Zircon were 65k. The Wisdom were shiny so meh. lol I might grab two zircon/aquamarine instead of these wisdom/solace, I'd grab the HQ but HQ Zircon (Genius? I think) are like couple mil each, none of the HQ aquamarine were even in the price history, heh.

Only problem with Elemantal Earring, when fighting Maat it's useless, since subjobs are blocked.

We talkin' about Elemental Earring or Wizard's Earring?
Wizard's Earring is Elemental Magic Skill +5 when /blm
Elemental Earring is Elemental Magic Skill +3 regardless of sub.

My bad. It was Wizard's Earring that I was referring to. I love it, but it'll be useless against Maat. I'm hoping to have an Elemental Earring and Elemental Torque by the time I fight him.

And we took different battle approaches because you seemed to be straight otherwise except for MP, which you took great precaution to ensure wasnt a problem. INT isn't really a problem for Taru's, neither is MP. But if we get resisted, we have less HP to save us. I'm sure I'd have went down in one Asuran, whereas you needed two, lol
Ahaha... well the first ashuran did 0, since blink and stoneskin were up (I was very careful to keep that up all the time). Then he hit me once for about 70, which was the leftover damage after stoneskin from his regular hit, normally doing ~130--so that ate off the last of my protection. I figured no problem, at 650 hp I can take another hit and cast sleep2 right after it.

And then he ashuran-ed me for 700+ right when I was casting sleep2 which dropped me in disbelief. He was at ~30%HP at this time, so one more nuke would have killed him.

I had converted and not healed up to full since cures cost a lot of mp. Needless to say, being so close, and even with my defenses working with supposedly enough HP to survive a nuke/hit or two as backup, wasn't enough to save me from bad luck.

Took less chances on the third try, and aside from the adrenaline rush, not too difficult.

Yeah, me too, but on my server, Torque is about 2mil, and Earring is (3?mil I think.)

on gilgamesh, Elemental Torque is 1.5mil, Enfeebling is 3mil and rising ( ;.; ) and the earrings are outta control. I'm glad I'm past that, I can focus on getting to LVL 75 so I can farm for all the uber gear, lol.

Maat, honestly, isn't that hard. Granted, sleeps have to stick, but he was like a baby to me. I nuked him a lot, and his hits were strong (doing 110-130 a hit!!!!><!!!!) but he hardly got near me

Enfeeb was 2.7 on Caitsith. (last I checked).

I'm 70 and still kind of mentally prepping myself to fight maat, but I figured I'd add something.. I've replaced my Red Cape with Gramary because in XP party use it seems to completely outshine the Red Cape. I was landing enfeebles much more and I was hitting reliably at extremely high numbers with the odd nuke. Placebo effect? I don't know but an easy 15k to drop on Lakshmi. I'm pretty sure I'm going to go in to the maat fight with Gramary cape.

I switched back from the Gramary to Red Cape, and I couldn't be happier. I noticed my enfeebs sticking a whole lot better, as well as alot longer, than with my Gramary Cape. Perhaps this is the placebo effect in action with myself as well, but it dosen't seem like it. Unfortunately, I can't be arsed to parse it.

Gramary Cape, 1 Magic Acc doesn't seem like a whole whopping lot. But the jury is still out. I mean, yesterday, i didn't have any food when we went to Moon, which sucked for the first 30minutes.

I'm big on hMP, and if i'm not eatting Roast Mushrooms, I eat Sweet Rice Cakes. And I had neither, so I was PISSED!!! Mostly at myself, but w/e. In any case, I don't have any problems enfeebling. I guess all I can do is see how Magic Accuracy affects me on the stronger mobs like Gods and such. . .
