I dont see any thread`s, and I havent seen any attempts.

I personally havent done it succesfully, but this is due to certain pieces of equip I need to require to facilitate this.

Ok first off, as rdm/nin, dont even bother, he will downright kill you. he attacks very quick, his deadly shriek is a bad paralyze, and you will hit him for near to nothing and your enspell doing barely any dmg.

SO how will it be done?
    There are two ways

One way that is quite possibly, is rdm/bst. My Mischarm in that zone is low. but to be honest, guivre eats a single pet easily, and it would require a extensize amount of time. Personally I trio guivre with my rdm/bst and 2 main bst friends. its simple @ 3, but solo it may be possible but, highly difficult.

2nd, way is RDM/NIN. poison 2+bio2. bind, your disadvantage is no gravity.

with 320 enfeebling magic I only have about a 50/50 rate, when i did try I did not have my full enfeeble set, and mnd/int gear. so that might have been my huge disadvantage.
Someone who maybe have 330+ enfeeble will do much better I thnik.

    Ok how to proceed:

1st keep yourself hasted you want to keep your bind recast low.
2nd you must pull it with a bind, stick a silent oil on yourself asap. than run to the zone line, that is your battle zone, although i feel bad for passerby, but that is the safest place. at this point if you notice your bind are succesfull than you win half the fight.
    3rd. para, slow, blind
4th. now you need to dot it, and bind it right away so make sure your bind is ready, bio 2 + poison 2 go.
5th. endurance, you will need a lot of it. Guivre has a fair amount of hp, you will be doing this for a long time. you can nuke it once in awhile.

He hits me around 200-250dmg. I noted some other 75 jobs getting hit for 400+ sometime still though.... Cheviot cape, jelly ring and switch to earth staff help's a fair amount.

You might want to have a friend at zone warning people you are doing guivre.

You cannot do this with bad gear. you just cant, your bind are so important.

Anyways I will reattempting this in about a week from now again.

Any tips are recommendation would be great.

This sounds alot like soloing Dark Spark at level 70 combined with Fighting Maat at 70. The difficulty is there and very immense. However, I have faith, I want to see a RDM do this!

In response to pantherball, he said not to go as RDM/NIN on melee terms. DO NOT rely on utsusemi tanking to win. Why? Guivere is a mini HNM. He has thousands of HP. He's got a brutal melee attack, NM special abilities, and double attack as well as increased attack speed. But if you do go as RDM/NIN, use utsusemi for protection as you run around. It'll give you a few seconds to get spells ready for cast. That's the power of Fast Cast!

I'd also recommend to have alot of spare inventory space for a Vile Elixer, Hi Ethers, and juice. Somtimes a refresh cast may not be the best route to go while bind or gravity slowly wears off.

However, as it seems, performance at its best seems to be a must. You need to do everything right and hope that everything lands. Too many resists will cause the start of your downfall.

I haven't done this yet, but it definately sounds do-able. Might take an hour and a half to fight and defeat him tough. And you'd have to be lucky enough to have a few passerby's understand what you're doing, then throw in a helpful cure. Good luck~

It's not possible to solo Guivre as any job except maaaybe BST. Too many things have to go your way during a very long fight. He hits way too hard, and way too often.

Honestly, I think RDM/THF with Flee and using crimson leggings for extra run speed with Poison II/Bio II for damage is about the most viable way you could approach this, and even then you'd have to find someplace in Kuftal to kite him, and I can't think of any safe spots anywhere that you wouldn't pull aggro. Standing and fighting him without 300+ evasion and Utsusemi is suicide.

I think it is do-able. But you'd require alot of running. Not in circles within a huge space. I mean from 1 side of the zone to the other. Fight him at the Altepa zone, bind or gravity, sneak/oil, run to the terrigan zone. These are some of the key places where there is less of a chance for extra aggro. *Unless someone trained something.*

So, it's only possible if there aren't anything else going on in Kuftal... like ridiculous EXP PTs training things left and right.

That's the trouble, though. The entire Kuftal zone is crawling full of aggressives, from Robber Crabs to Haunts. There's really no safe spots, except near where Phantom Worm spawns, which means that even a kiting tactic won't work very well unless you have a ton of people running interference for you.

/nin is mostly to have 3+3(+3 more if you manage your ichi->ichi->ni well)+1.
during this time you would want a bind in there.
I am currently working on the new COP cape & legs, which will give +10 more enfeebling.
