At lvl 10-12, if you're using rdm, eating atk food, and making use of bow and arrow, you can take down an ep crow in 1-2 shots. :p even if you have a high dmg weap and eat atk food you can take down an EP in a few swings at that level.
EDIT I did the same for nin, sam, thf, and war actually. and even without bow and arrow, great katana and great axe can take lower ep down in 1-2 shots at that level.
