Problems skilling Enfeebling Magic?

I had a strange occurance when I hit 74 yesterday in a PT fighting Aura Statues in sky. Once I hit 74, I was able to swap into some new gear, namely Thanatos Baselard and Elite Beret, which were a nice bonus to my Enfeebling skill. Problem is, I found that my Enfeebling Magic wasn't skilling up very much. In about 2k worth of exp, I only got 0.2 skill. I think it might have to do with my sudden increase of Enfeebling skill from the new equip. I think that because later that night while doing Divine Might, I got two skill ups, totalling to 0.5, while casting Gravity using a Wind Staff instead of the Thanatos Baselard. Do those two items put my Enfeebling skill so high that it can barely skill up off normal exp mobs anymore, or was I just unlucky with skill ups?

Skillups in everything seem pretty random to me. I'd say you just got unlucky. At level 74, 2k EXP isn't very much enfeebling.

I didn't have a problem capping my enfeebling skill but capping my dagger took days to get 1.0

If the mobs were something like VT instead of IT++ then you might have a harder time skilling up.
