Galka RDM vs. Elvaan RDM

Hi I'm restarting on a different server as my LS fell apart due to PPL moving on to WoW or EQ II. So I decided to move to where some RL friends are. Anyways my eventual Goal is to play Ninja but I wanna start out as RDM. Since I was lvling RDM when everything fell apart on Rag. Now as for the race of my new character I want to play either Galka or Elvaan. Going more toward Galka atm just because I think Galka look kick ass in RDM AF. Although I'm concerned with Galkan low MP pool. With RSE and Astrals I figure I kinda fix my MP but Would I be at much more of an advantage with going Elvaan. As Elvaan have the second lowest natural MP pool. So before I make my selection I'm hopen to get more info on the adv vs disadv. of either races with RDM. As if Elvaan have a signifcate advantages of Galka I would def. give them more consideration.

PS another cosideration would be Solo Power. I'm very interested in Soloing mobs. As the ability of RDM's to Solo high lvl mobs was what made me wanna go RDM vs BRD

Elvaan RDM is better than a Galka RDM, the extra MP and the MND advantage clearly outweights anything a Galka provides for a RDM (higher INT? lol). Anyway, if you have the gil to support yourself (juices, RSE, Astrals and stuff) and you REALLY like Galkas, it can be done (yes even solo effectively, although not nearly as the other races).

I think it all comes down to personal preference and aesthetics.

But I realy would like to an other emphasis on Elvan RDM. U will be much better off with more MP and MND. And less ppl frown on it. Galka get alot of frowns when they become mages, and to me its not worth it. Too difficult to play, too much to spend, and a headache to have ppl accept.

But seriously though, MND stat is important for a RDM. Being an Elvaan RDM can be a great advantage. Most enfeebling spells are MND based, and with less resists on the enfeebling means more MP to spare for other things (Refresh!), which helps your endurance.

Thats been happening a lot latly, some of the higher endgame freinds I've known just quit for a different RPG. i was on the L ShogunsOfRagnarok and 2/3 of the LS was gone when Wow came out, and the world migration thing sure did'nt help either.

XD but seriously... I wouldn't even consider playing as any other race now. And I do my job as well as, if not better than any other rdm out there.

It's more of a personanlity thing... huge hp and vit don't really help anyone but myself nor average dex and str... galkans are lacking in every mage stat... and yet I kick butt at being a mage, and just plain figthing things.

Well I decided to go Galka...

2. My main goal is to go Ninja and I'm sorry but Elvaan's Dual wield and Ninjitsu animation is just the suck.

Play what you want to play and worry about the rest later.

I've more than made up for my MP downfall with decent gear. If you have the patience you can make up for the MP.

With full RSE, MP earrings, rings, Holy Phial etc I can get my MP at lv 46 to about 450 approx (dunno exact since im at work).

I'm sure if i were a hume, a mithra or Taru my MP would be way higher. But I didn't pick Elvaan to be uber or to please anyone else. I picked Elvaan to please myself.

I can do my job easily with the MP I have. Large MP pools are an advantage, managing MP effeciently however is a skill thats worth it's weight in gold 10x more than higher MP.

Personally I want to see a Galka rdm/war tank
