RDM vs Genkai 2, Advice Please

Hi guys

I think I'm going to be fighting the 3 mobs in Xarcabard for Genkai 2 on my 65 RDM for a 54 NIN in my LS. It's been so long since I've fought these guys for my genkai 2 so I forgot alot about what they do. Does anyone have an advice, gear recommendation, or food consumption that they could spare with me?

I'm not sure if I will be using NIN, DRK, or BLM for these fights. I think it will depend on how fast they eat thru my Stoneskin and Phalanx, perhaps I will have to eat Steamed Crab for some added boost to defense. If they go thru it fast I might have to sub NIN ( good thing it's 32 ^^ ), but otherwise I think I might use DRK or BLM, DRK for the damage or BLM for the extra MP for a longer duration fight.

The only thing I remeber is that one of the mobs uses Burst........so...........I wonder how Barthunder will work against that.............

Sub: Some shield that gives +3 to Evasion, but if i use NIN sub I will have another Royal Guard Fleuret
Head: RDM AF
Neck: Enhancing & Enfeebling & Spike Necklace & Tiger Stole ( not sure which to use of the Spike Necklace and Tiger Stole )
Body: RDM AF
Hand: RDM AF
Rings: Astral Rings x2 ( I also have Reflex Rings X2 and Balance Rings X2)
Back: I have Anemit Mantle ( I also have Nomad's Mantle and Red Cap +1, againt not sure which to use)
Waist: Royal Knight's Belt
Legs: RDM AF
Feet: RDM AF



Anyways, any advice is welcomed.

If so stop worrying, these things are hella easy.... They wont resist you and you will hit for probobly close to 100...


If you plan on soloing these or trying with one party, start praying for a miracle. This is I thnk my first, and possibly my only post, enjoy :D ~rofl. (I'm a KI poster mainly, sorry :/, but I read all the crap that goes on here ^^)

ive accidentally run into the tiger cave and the coerl cave and stood toe to toe with this thing whilst out exploring xabac, fine fine i was lost,
anyhew, yes the battle can be done by an rdm/whm solo,
but if you want to save yourself from old age then i suggest you make your friend sum a whm lvl9+ for paralyna, and your done,

then that will allow you to sub drk or blm or war or i really doesnt matter,

only 3 spells to take note of, L4 standard L3 aga and Ancient,
L3 aga is ignored by your Bar, so is L4, the ancient, heres the fun thing, when it casts the Ancient it stops attacking,
so as long as you have blink macroed you will always loose one shadow,

what i mean to say is you can cast blink in the time it takes for these guys to cast the ancient, since it doesnt attack during its cast you will have a full blink up when it finishes casting the spell,

anyway its a marathon, the biggest danger is Sleep, and i dont mean the spell, you will litterally fall asleep at the keybourd before this thing is dead,

a mixture of caffine, sudoeffadrine and mass enthetamine on I.V. with the intravenous needle inserted into the front of your chest strait into the heart, (you'll need your hands and arms free for keybourd use, the tubes just get in the way)

keep your mp use on a ten minute mindset,

convertis your friend 30 mins should be a good battle time, depending on lvl and sub,

buy the Windy CP mage +5 evasion gear you can get hands legs and some air solea's for feet, have the switch macroed,

if you get into trouble, just run out of the cave, it wont follow you.

Hm.........well if that's the case I'm going to be subbing NIN ^^

Last night was doing 80+ damage regular damage and 21 damage from enspell on 1 sword. So that's like.......200 damage if I connect and if the damage is 80+ ( 80 + 80 + 20 + 20 = 200 ). I'm not sure how I will hit against these guys though. I've read them up and they say they are lvl 58. I think I'll go solo those crabs in Kuftal Tunnel and see how my damage output is on them.

Anyways, I'll post how I'll do against them.

Does barparalyze not work? BTW, I'm pretty sure I can cast a bar<what-ever-element> by the time they finish casting their spells.

I will admit i was 75 when i fought these guys, being paralyzed then watching the tiger in this instance cast burst on me and fail to blink up made for a

watching my HP go from 900 to 400 at full, and one time 600 to 100 is Fun, but hurts that 10 min convert plan,

I had alot of eva including opti hat,
so melee dmg taken wasnt an issue for me.

69 Rdm LS member killed all 3 of them for someone with /War... Apparently it took him an hour per Nm... Would have been less time consuming shouting for an alliance in Jeuno.
