  • Poison II

Hey all you wonderfull and helpfull rdms out there, I have a very simple question to ask:

Should I use Poison II in exp parties with my enfeebles?

I just got lvl 46 and got the spell, but wasnt sure how effective it was against exp mobs and if it was mp effective. Thank you all in advance.

It has a good dmg:MP ratio as long as you're not fighting a water-based mob (or one strong to water.) If you find yourself in a xp situation where you have MP to burn, go ahead and cast it if you feel like it. If memory serves right, I think it's 38mp... You may want the BLM casting it instead.

Its decent but if you are killing things at a good pace its a wasted spell for wasted MP, also if something is poisoned you can't emergency sleep it so I keep it for fighting gods and pop items that arn't sleepable most of the time.

Try casting it on some weakest creatures in either Easter or Western Ranfaure and see how fast they die. They have around 30HP but they're killed in 10 seconds or so.

As a matter of fact, the slip damage of Poison II is dependent on our enfeebling skill. If your enfeebling skill exceeds 200, it should drain 9HP/tick. Total 180HP in 60 seconds. It is hardly resisted unless mobs are immune or have strong resist to water.

Well, it's up to you. I respect both Raineer's and Discordian's opinion. If you have some extra MP, it's nice to cast it to get a little faster kill. It doen's give any TP back to mob unlike nukes. However, if attackers have enough firepower allowing your PT to always get chain 5, you might not need it.

For soloing some EP mobs or NMs with auto-regen, I like it by the way. Against elementals except for water, it is very nice.

What is the slip damage calculation? I'm wondering what my damage is with a 321 enfeebling skill and a 332 skill (rdm game max currently)

No formula has ever found yet because it's hard to get damage samples out of Ballista (There's almost no LV30 - LV50 games on our server).

I only know it was capped at 10HP/tick how much skill we had. I believe it's still the same with 293 Enfeebling skill (When I put my Ballista gears on). I'm curious how yours will do because someone said 11HP/tick with 301+ skill.

Well, I'm going to attend to two uncapped matches tonight and I may have chance to test it.

              ^^Bump

Decided to put this here instead of wasting another post.

              DiaIII lvl 61
              112MP

              BioIII lvl 62
              110MP

Worth it? Possibly when soloing, i suppose that this MP isnt wasted against tougher mobs when its available, but otherwise I'm not sure. In fact, does anyone over 62 use these? Even if they hadent nerfed the MP cost, i feel i would have still used Dia II, so is that the case with the III spells?

                W... W.... W.... What?????

Is this hypothetical, or did I get knocked out, and miss the patch that added these spells?

I thought Bio 3 was only used my enemies, and I've never seen Dia 3 anywhere ever.

Dia III and Bio III are not Player Character accessible.

I usually cast Poision II myself in exp PTs, and usually try to cast Blind too. Us BLMs need some way to keep our enfeebling capped :p

Its actually correct information thats in the datafiles just that S-E hasn't released scroll drops into Vendor and Enemy drop tables so it is unobtainable.
