  • RSE vs AF for Humes

How many Hume RDM's wear RSE pants and boots instead of the AF pants and boots when EXP'ing?
    Warlock Tights: DEF:33 MP+13 MND+3 Healing magic skill+10 Enhancing Magic skill+15
    Custom Pants/Slacks: DEF:12 MP+32 STR-1 MND+3 CHR+1
    Warlock's Boots: DEF: 13 MP+11 AGI+3 [WTR]+10 Shield skill+10
    Custum M/F Boots: DEF: 5 HP+4 MP+12 DEX-1 AGI+3 INT+3 MND-1
Wearing the RSE pants, you get 19 more mp. You lose out on +10 healing magic, but for me I don't cure too much to find that necessary. And +15 enhancing magic? Eh, I don't think that's going to do much good in EXP parties. How often to RDM melee and when they do, is their accuracy good enough for the to be worth keeping? But meleeing goes into a topic I don't want to get into too much >< So I guess I could see people using these because of the +10 healing magic, but for me in my static, the +19mp is better.
Though, for the RSE boots, you lose 1 MND, but you get +3 INT for nuking and enfeebling^^ I don't find a need for +3 AGI and +10 shield skill while EXP'ing.
I guess the AF defense would be nice when you have to sleep stuff, but I haven't had too much of a problem with that.
I only wear the RSE for EXP'ing, not when soloing and stuff. So, does anyone else where their RSE instead or does anyone think me wearing RSE is a bad idea?
I also think the RSE 2 gloves at lvl 62 are MUCH better than the AF gloves.
    Marine M/F Gloves: DEF: 11 MP+35 VIT-3 AGI-3 INT+4 MND+4 CHR+3
    Warlock's Gloves: DEF: 16 MP+12 DEX+4 [DKN]+10 Parrying skill+10
I think the extra MP, INT, and MND are very nice. I'm surprised I don't see more people with them...I guess it's because they're 250-300k (on Pheonix). But I think it's worth it.

If I remember correctly you can BCNM for the RSE 2 set the difference in the Warlock Tights and the Slacks are 1. the MP the slacks give and 2. the extra MND that they give and the same goes for the INT in the boots but at some point your gonna want to either sell the RSE armor or keep it and change to AF
People look at the world and think why, i look at the world and think why not.

My AF gloves and boots are always left in my mog house when exping (along with my sword, shield, dagger). There's just no use for them.

I like having my AF tights in my inventory if I sub WHM to boost bar-ra spells, but I only use it temporarily with an equip change in the macro.

At 65, I use RSE boots and pants and RSE2 gloves over my AF. Once I get my WHM sub up, I might start carrying my Warlock's Tights around for bar-spells, but until then, the MP on the RSE pants is king. I do, however, carry my AF boots around, but that's just because I'm an equip change junkie and switch them in whenever I cast a White Magic spell. (to get rid of the near-insignificant -1 MND on the RSE boots) And between the RSE2 gloves and the AF gloves, its no contest, RSE2 is clearly superior. Rarely do you see RDMs with these gloves, but probably because there are just too many slacker RDMs who are content with riding the job's popularity to 75 rather than spending the time and effort to get atleast basic gear. (I once saw a Lv. 69 RDM who didn't have even a Spider Torque! I can see skipping over Enfeebling, but Spider Torque is relatively cheap!)

If you have inventory space use the RSE pants with your convert macro, only thing better for converting are zenith slacks. As far as RSE feet, use them on your nuke macros, they are the best +int feet unless you have the +1 version of zenith pumps >.>. If you want to be a good hume rdm, macro macro macro !
