Morion Worm

Ok, i'm level 43 rdm and am wondering if I can take the Morion worm. Also i'm wondering if anybody knows the 6 spawn points of the ??? to make the worm come out. If you are worried about competition and are not on Odin just message me where the points are please, as I would be very grateful. Anyway my roommate says I cannot beat the worm at my level, and i've read that I shouldn't try until level 45. Is this true for RDM? Thank you for any help.

In my experience (havent camped him in a while) there are 6 spawns. There are 3 spots for the ??? to pop each spot holds two possible ??? spawns.
The first is then you get to the first set of stairs, it will pop either on the ledge to the left if you are looking down the stairs or down the hallway to your left.
Second Spawn is at the second set of stairs, just follow from the first set if stairs. Again, this spawn is either on you Right as you look down the stairs of to the tunnel to your right.
The next spawn is a little tricky to get to but from the first set of stairs follow the left path around and over the bridge... there are always a lot of worms around each of the spawn spots.
The ??? is (well was when I camped it) a 15 min pop and its very odd for it to pop in the same spot 2 times. If you go with 2 people, you can get one spawn then cover the other two spawns spots and get every claim for a while. Also make a macro for the Iron Ore if there's competition.

yea you can kill it no problem just make sure to get rid of the other worms around the points before you try and attack it or you will be beat on and possibly beat down. =X

I went 1/28 for the worm~ so better wish for more luck than mine

I beat it as a lv41 blm, although I had to 2 hour to get the last tiny bit of HP off of him. As a 43 rdm, you can beat him provided you have Phalanx and Refresh (should be a given). Use Phalanx, your best en- spell, blink, and slowly chip away at his health. As mentioned before, you may want to clear away the other worms, as they all tend to link and start spamming -ga's at you. Other than that, make sure you keep your buffs up, and you should be fine. You may want to try using Barstonra, as it should cut the damage you receive from their Stonega's a bit...but you might not need it. Be preparded for about a 10 minute fight though (might be less, but I remember my lv48 friend took *much* longer than me to kill Morion Worm. I usually killed it before he could make the trip even from adjacent camps. I usually made it to him by the time he had gotten the worm to 50%, even if I was the furthest away possible).

Jesus you guys have it bad on the drop i went with my THF friend and got it 50% of the time but i really doubt that he would have Phalanx at 41 not to many RDM can get that spell when they get the lvl

I think SE nerfed the drop rate on this type of item a few months ago. I've gone for about 3/25 on Morion Worm.

You shouldn't have any trouble killing the worm at lvl 40+. Just keep barstone up, and use stoneskin and enaero. Even with 3-4 other worms attacking you, I don't htink you'd have any trouble as long as Barstone stays up.

yeah...I used to dual camp (not duo) Morion Worm back when I needed the tathlum, and some money...my friends and I used to usually managed to get 1-2 tathlums per hour (we never lost a spawn while we were both camping, so in an hour, we'd get the claim 4 times). Seems like they nerfed the drop rate though.
