I'm finally getting around to leveling a job for sneak/invis, and I picked rdm in the event that I want to play it later, but for now I just want lv20-25. What's the best way to go about this? Am I going to have to lvl whm or blm to 12 to sub, or would other jobs suffice for the few lvls?

Either of the subs are have there advantages and disadvantages
BLM- has Elemental Seal(never figured out what this does yet, keep getting different responces), Drain,Aspir,Warp,Escape(with chainspell this can save a partys ass),and the elemental skills(shock, rasp, etc)
WHM- Divine Seal(great after Convert, just dont use it while in battle),status cures, teleport(not really benifical to a party but nice to have them),Erase (has to be the best spell for a whm sub, getting rid of the nasty status downs)
Summoner really dont have anything worth while except the MP bonus and the MP Refresh but.. we get that in a spell so its really not necessary (but how unfortunate i am that this is what i am subing, slowing working on BLM)
Bard has Mages Ballad but no MP boost from it,but this could be a little help but nothing too great
you could sub Ninja for a few lvls, weaken things to certain elements like the Magic Bursted Element (ice, fire, water, etc) this is what i did before i actually had to lvl a mage class but when you get Refresh kiss meleeing goodbye.People look at the world and think why, i look at the world and think why not.

If you're only playing to around 20-25, I should think that the differences between using whm or blm as sub are fairly minor. You'll get Drain at lvl 24 rdm if you sub blm I believe. Whm you will get some -na spells, like poisona, etc. Blm will give you a tiny tiny bit more mp. Real differences will be come apparent as you take it higher as the previous poster mentioned.

If you're only going to 20 or 25, your sub won't matter a whole lot as long as you get good equipment. White mages are always in short supply in dunes and qufim, so you might want to sub whm since you'll probably be main healer sometimes. If you sub a melee job, you'll miss out on some MP, but you can make up for that with an astral ring and hairpin. Spell wise, you really won't use the subjob spells that much (except Poisona and maybe Drain). I wouldn't go past Qufim, though, with anything other than a mage sub.74 DRG/ 69 RNG/ 62 RDM/ 51 NIN /50 SAM
