Fetich mission

Can a level 10 RDM solo the fetich quest? I tried at 8, but found it beyond my abilities. At 9, I could usually take on two EPs or an EP and a DC at one time... knowing the quadavs will link... but I can't handle more than that solo. Obviously, it will be my goal to pick them out without letting them link. I haven't tested my abilities at 10 yet as I just hit it last night.

Before I go in, I plan to upgrade to scale armor, buy my level 10 spells and possibly upgrade to a ranged weapon for its higher damage since I will have to rely on my own weapons as a solo player. It wouldn't hurt to start working on my ranged weapon skills anyway for my THF, although I don't plan on picking it back up until I at least get my subjob.

Level 10 should be fine but it may be easier to go level up a bit more and then go back. I was level 10 when I completed my quest but I did it in a PT shortly after NA PC release. You might also find out that some of the higher level Quadavs seem to have a higher drop rate.

but that sucks the fun out of the whole mission which is killing quadav which also in the time looking for the fetich pieces you can make spare gil on the side

I know you can buy them... but I don't want to. For one thing, I like to know I actually accomplished something. The thrill of the hunt. I could use the extra XP (assuming I don't die too many times). Plus whatever items and gil I might get off of them. Why would I want to cheat just to get rank 2? That's not why I play the game.

weeeeeell, for one, its not cheating- its an aspect we can utilize of the market. But i understand what you mean. Keep in mind though, you can worry about glory for Bastok and such later. I'm Rank 4, and I'm still more or less a whipping Boy. So skimping on 1 mission isnt gonna hurt ya. Hell, they make you get friggin Lizard Eggs for one mission.
