Can i solo the dragon to get rank 3

I was wondering if it is possible to solo this dragon with rdm.
I have seen videos of mnks doing it so i think rdm might be able to.

Here is my plan:
Bring these with me:
5x yagudo drink
1x rolannberry pie
10x potion
5x ether

Equipment:
Full beetle
Yew wand
Mahogany sheild
Ermite's rings
Justice badge
Frair's rope
Dhamel mantle
Onyx earrings

Plan:
Run in eat my pie and cast shell protect and all the varous buffs. Then rest to full mp drink yagudo drink. Then cast sleep on the dragon seilence and bind the eye. Nuke the heck outta the eye with 2 hour + blizzard. If dragon wakes sleep again. Then i cast gravity paralyze slow on the dragon. Blink myself and then kite the dragon nuking and recasting blink as needed using potions and ethers as needed as well as the rest of the yagudo drinks.


So what do you think could it work and should i sub whm for poisona?? Cause i hear poison breathe and petrify is the main problem.

could work. i think u might need more potions and elixers though. u should get hi potions and the stronger mp potions.

Applepie soloed this a while back as rdm/nin. He had a nice video of it perhaps you could download. It took him several tries and is far from an easy task. The dragon was very resistent to his nukes, so your plan of kiting the dragon and nuking might not fare to well. I remember sleep did work very well on the dragon though while you kill the eye.

You won't be able to kite the dragon really well. It can draw people in which would make it more difficult. The BC isn't very large either so running around with it behind wouldn't be easy. But if you did try kiting it I wouldn't bother using Gravity, the dragon is slow as it is.

I'm not 100% on this but its rumored a RDM w/ capped divine can chainspell+banish the dragon to death, even then I would suggest you kill the eye first since it tossing in a cure onto the dragon can screw things up. Good luck with that brave RDM.

Hmmm.
I knew about the thing where the dragon draws you in thats why i planned on keeping blink up any idea how often he would do this if i were running around >.>

I'm not sure which dragon you're going to solo but if you do the one in Windurst, you need a holy water.

As for equipments, I think we need as many evasion+ gears as possible.

Hmmm i didn't think about rdm/nin i guess i will have to try it maybe but i want to try my way first. When i told my LS i was gonna solo the dragon for mission 2-3 they were like.......... So now i really have to do it just to prove it can be done
