EXPing in Ro'Maeve - RDM mob

Oh the pains of fighting your own kind.

My static party decided to try out Ro'Maeve, Moon Gate interior a week ago to fight Apocalyptic Weapons lvl 78-80 WAR and Infernal Weapons lvl 79-81 RDM.

It's just been hellish to keep the flow of XP smooth and ongoing. It seems like a struggle to get chain #4.

The reason? The RDM mob! This mob has 4-5 buff on it. Blink, Protect IV, Shell IV, Stoneskin, En-spell, Aquaveil, Regen../faint.
The BLM has taken the initiative to help me dispel..LOL.

First of all, the mob has Blink and that takes time to remove it. Silence & Paralyze gets resisted more often than I'm used to, which in turn embarass the crap out of me. I don't mind too much with Paralyze, however when Silence gets resisted, it makes things difficult for me. :sweat:

I am a 73 RDM/36 BLM mithra so my mind is naturally low. My MIND is 98 and INT is 107. Enfeeb skill is maxed. I also have the Enfeeb Torque and use the Mythic Wand.

Static PT is BLM, WHM, PLD, DRG, DRK, and RDM.

Anybody who has experience fighting this mob care to give me some tips to make my life easier?

Should I cast diaga to get rid of Blink? Do I need to invest in Wind Staff? Or am I just overreacting and things will get easier as I level up more? I appreciate the help.

unfortunately those things are a pain in the ass for us melees as well. Actually, you can ignore blink/stoneskin as melees will cut through it within the first 5-10 seconds of battle. After that just dispel as much as you can while debuffing and refreshing...

I personally don't care much if the weapon has shell and pro up, but do dispel that en-spell asap as it hurts

When fighting RDM weapons, you are Silence, Dispel, Dispel, Dispel, Dispel... It helps to have a BRD that will sing Ballads and cast Dispel song with you. Yes, it's tiring, but what can you do except to not PT there. I do think you're over-reacting

go to kuftal tunnel where and fight mobs that dispel YOU!

That area made me want to shoot myself. If you are going to go there go with at least 2 people who can dispell.

Make the BLM or WHM level RDM to 33 so they can use dispell is the only thing i can say to make the XP better =/ In a 74/75 RDM/WHM WHM/BLM BLM/WHM PLD/WAR RNG/WAR SAM/WAR group we were struggling to make chain 5's at times. Usually we would only get chain 4's.

My person reccomendation for your PT setup is just go to Kuftal. Chain the hell out of t/vt Oviinks, vt cocktrice, and vt/it Ladons.

Youd be suprised how much xp you can get ripping thought Oviinks that are t / low vt.

Heck if you play your cards right and camp at one area of it you may have a chance at getting a new shield from Pelican.

I'll make the suggestion to go back to Kuftal. We exped there for awhile until they got bored with it and wanted to try somewhere new.

It seems like Ro'Maeve area is just a big pain in the rear for everyone. So I'll just chill out and do my best. :spin:

Though, I'm kinda proud the RDM mob is difficult to beat..being that I'm a RDM and all. Let's me know that we're not pushovers.
