Electrum Rings??

Hi guys, I just got lvl 38 and have spent some time getting all the gear im going to need for a while. I went ahead and got two Electrum Rings for lvl 40. Is the 40 mp from the rings going to be better than the +4 mnd or int? Also, if i went ahead and got Black Cape +1 and a Morion Tathalon would it make up for the loss? Or should i just buck up and start some equipment switch macros =) Thanks in advance.

Electrum rings are cheap and +40 MP is bargain for the price. HQ items that give you +1 of INT or MND is not worth it in my opinion. Unless the Gil shortage is not of concern, I would just stay with normal equipments. It doesn't make a great deal of difference and you will always find other spells and equipments to buy as you progress.

Most of my switching macros come from weapons and equipments (none for rings and ear).

The only HQ MND or INt items I bought was all the Wands on the way up (whenever a new one became available, I bought it) because they were always cheap. And I bought a Red Cape +1 because its the undisputed champ back equip for a RDM from lvl 43-70 and I figure if youre going to wear for 27 levels, splurge for the HQ version. Rings I've just stuck with regular equips, Eremites and Saintlys until level 54 when I could equip Zircons and Aquamarines.

When I buy overpriced gear its either for the long haul, or for a short time while leveling a job, then selling the item back. (ie I bought a 44k Mages Tunic while I leveled BLM from 25-30, then I sold it back at AH for 45k)
