What's the stats on the ice staff? I'm wondering because isn't Paralyze wind-based? How does ice staff help with sticking para?

      Paralyze is Ice Based.

Also, because Silence is Wind Based, don't cast it with an Ice Staff. Ice staff gives a -10% penalty to wind spells.

Explains why I rarely stick Para on Perytons (bird creatures in Valley of Sorrows). I'm assuming bird is Wind and since Para is Ice... you get the picture.

the bird is actually light based, I believe. Regardless, I remember leveling on those things...blizzard line of spells were pretty much the only thing I could land consistently on those things. If they're wind creatures...then ice-based things land easier (wind being weak to ice).
          For The Horde!!

            Here we go (see attached).

Peryton is weak against Ice and has 50% resist against Wind.

heh, you have it backwards methinks.... ice is strong to air...

and perytons are weak to ice, so not sure why you were having trouble. some mobs just are resistant as hell to enfeebles.
