Sea Horror is only level 60-62 according to Mystery Tour. I would that that a 75/37 Mithra NIN/WAR having A-rated evasion would hardly ever get hit during the fight.

I have seen a hume 75/37 NIN/WAR soloing Sea Horror, so it can definatly be done. But I have also witnessed a taru 73/36 RDM/BLM soloing it, and that was nothing but awsome

Is Sea Monk higher? Maybe I'm just remembering horror stories told in my first LS where somebody said they saw it kill a lv75 or something. Personally, I've never seen anything more deadly than a crab or a pugil pulled up on the ship's deck. I kinda wanna see the stupid thing ; ;

Nah, the other day, 3 folks in my linkshell killed it. A 64 RNG, a 60 DRK, and a 64 WHM. So it can't be too hard.

The Horror is the NM. The Sea Monk is just a regular mob and only around level 21-29.

The Horror does have 100 Fists so it probably can beat down some solo level 75s who don't have high ranked defensive skills and no way to kite it. Especially if it surprised them and they weren't prepared to fight it.

A little off topic. I had a chance to duel with Bloodtear Baldurf in La Theine Plateau today, just two hours ago. I started to record the movie when I got petrified

Well, I was completely unprepared. I went to Selbina to do Rolanberry quests and I was on my way back to San D'oria. I already removed one macro palette for dueling because I used it for leveling NIN, RNG, and THF.

Anyway, I was lucky enough to sub DRK at that time (just forgot to sub BLM) and have melee gears (didn't seem to get them back to Mog Safe after the reserach). I didn't know what gears I had in my backpack but I started to engage with it.

I was once petrified but I came back in 10 seconds thanks to Barpetrify. At the end, I was hit by "Max HP Down" effect and my HP went down to 200. I thought I lost but I was lucky. The last Vorpal Blade knocked it on the ground. It took me 15 minutes to end the battle. There were some people trying to heal me. I'd like to say, "Thank you" but that was unnecessary. I'm always prepared to die when I solo.

Finally, I got 21 XP (so it is LV60) but no Viking Shield ;_;

would that kiting stragety work well with say some bst's or smn to help out?

it'd be much safer to throw many pets at the robot to help the rdm out,and also pet dies = who cares

Also, a bst can solo sea horror too. pets don't blink so 100 fists is much less of an issue. Homoculus would counter a bunch of those too

I wish bst can solo their Af'3 but the situations just don't allow it. Rdm is lucky that they can solo their AF3. I wish every job was allowed to do that given enough stragety and guts.
