At what level RDM did u go on Fenrir run?

I'm RDM72 now. So far, I have been rejected by every single Fenrir shouts since LV68.

Last night a Japanese told me that RDM would be useful at LV74 with DRK sub so that they can do chain Stun. Well this was little dissapointing to me.

So how have you done this as a RDM and at what level?

Please don't answer back with SMN blows type of responses.

I was level 68. Subbed SMN and spammed Aerial Armor while keeping the SMNs and WHM refreshed along with debuffing Fenrir (yes my spells actually stuck). Was an easy fight, we won first try. PT line up was 71SMN, 75SMN, 75WAR, 75RNG, 75WHM and 68RDM.
Fenrir is hard but you being 72 shouldn't be a problem, I know people around level 60 that got it.. but they died like a million times and only got luck :sweat:

Most of the tanking was done by the WAR & PLD, but the RDM stepped in for a while.

Fenrir Run

Jenovabldrn I assume that the fenrir run is where u go to fight fenrir in the burning circle battle to attain him. So if u are a sum u can use him. Looking at these post i heard that a lvl 60' party could take the avatars but maybe not? It would prob be easier to get sum to lvl 20 and buy yaguado drinks and elixrs to fight him solo but u can only use carbuncle so i am not sure ?

Was the SMN actually helpful, or did your LS just do the fight as a favor for a friend?

There is no mini-battle to fight fenrir. Only the original avatars have mini-battles.

Lv58 summoner 2 hour can do 1,000 or so damage per shot (you can get up to 3 in), but it stands a good chance of dealing less.

wow i didnt know that thanks ? i just opened sum and its at level 5 i like it alot it seems easier than bst, thats at 10 and i hear bst doesnt get good till like 15 or so. i think sum would help my rdm magic ? so i may build it as a sub but i love blm warp and the ga spells maybe a little to much :p

Well, since this revived, I'll post.

I finally got my Fenrir at RDM LV73! As usual, I use /t as usual on Fenrir shout. This one was specifically asking for SMNs w/ Fenrir to join. Well, I got a tell back and was the last member to join. PT consisted of 4 SMNs 70+ (All w/ Fenrir), 1 BLM63, and me.

To summarize, SMNs with Fenrir owns Fenrir. These 4 SMNs could have easily taken out Fenrir by themselves. Before the battle, SMN leader told BLM and me to not cast any elemental spells until near the end. My job consisted mainly of Heals and some enfeebles. Likewise for BLM. Fenrir was taken down with ease with no real danger. While I took pies, Yagu drinks, and Hi-ethers, none of these were really necessary.

So, if you see a Fenrir shout for SMNs only, jump at a chance and hope that you get picked.

My friend who is a 70whm was accepted in a PT of 5 smn. Ya to say the truth he was NOT needed but much more as a reasurance member. He didn't mind since he wanted fenrir, and he had raise3 which was why he got invited. He beated fenrir in Dark's Day and Full moon. What does that mean? Fenrir is in FULL POTENTIAL and he is nastier than ever. He got hit by his 2 hour but he never died nor any of his smn members.

Now as me 72 rdm, I have been invited for Fenrir tours. They said my job is to simply paralise him + maybe slow if it lands and cure the tank. Sadly I have no access to his domain yet. Will try in the future. Usual requirements are 74+ for melee (utusemi purpose) and 70+ for mages.

I've been wanting fenrir ever since it was released.. but back then i was 50ish.. now i'm 72BLM.. and still i get "I'm sorry you are too low" stuff.. it kinda pisses me off, since thoses people i helped back there.. and now they are 75..
