That sentence says nothing about whether taru haters are idiots or not. It doesn't say anything about taru players in general, and it doesn't even say anything about my stance on tarus.

If you read my posts carefully from the start, the only reason I am posting in this thread is because this guy scheme is an arrogant idiot. I don't give a damn about whether elvaan make better redmages or taru make better redmages. I am only arguing that an elvaan can make a better redmage than him.

But anyone who is actually good would not feel the need to come to forums like these to brag about their character at length.

Tarus are supposed to be mages, so naturally the mage AF looks pretty good on them.

They still look like babies, they're body's size can't be made up for. Galka's fatness can be made up for by wearking some big nice armor which actually looks very detailed and better since it looks so big on them, but taru always toddler... I compare the two because I think they are the 2 most unpleasant races to look at, besides Female elfs of course.

We already are having strict guidelines on subjobs and equipment. Putting race into that is over doing it.

Who's being racially discriminate here? The question is, was Elvaan the better Red Mage because of the higher base MND. Should we not answer him? Why give advice on subjobs and EQ, but not race? By that notion, you should start advocating RDM/NIN as well-wouldn't want to offend anybody.

I guess I just don't see why people feel the need to trash others for their choice of race/job combination.

This started out as a discussion of whether elvaan RDMs have good qualities. And now it's become an out-and-out shouting match between taru RDMs and all other RDMs, or at least that's what I'm kinda seeing here.

Tarus make excellent RDMs, don't get me wrong. But I do see distinct differences in the playing styles between taru RDMs and all other races.

I can't speak on what's easier and what adds more to a PT. You know why? Because I've never played as a taru RDM. I've only played as an elvaan RDM. That's the only high level experience of any kind I have, in fact, is playing as an elvaan RDM. I won't pretend to be an expert on the differences between playing one race or another, or one job or another, because frankly.. I haven't experienced it personally, so I really don't have a clue. I have a good friend online who is a taru, and is a lvl 70 RDM (he's also a 72 THF and has a boatload of other jobs raised into the 40's and 50's). I have never, never, never seen my linkshell say that I am better than him, or that he is better than me, or try to discourage him from playing THF because it's a waste of a perfectly good taru RDM, etc.

We have ALWAYS been treated like we were both equally competent players to have around. There's never been a situation where we both came for help on anything as RDM and anyone ever said "OK, put Shar in THAT PT, I want to have the taru RDM in mine because he has more MP." The only difference now is, I'm lvl 75, have 3 spells he doesn't have, and have a higher grade of enfeebling magic than he does, so for certain things it's kind of preferential to have me being the "lead RDM" so to speak and use him more for support if he chooses to go as RDM.

I think that says about everything I needed to say.

Om... how is Elvaan and Galka the worst? Really... I never have ran out of MP... I have +20 INT +20 MND in equipment, also +131 MP, I didn't spent millions either... but really, who needs more MP when you have convert, Refresh, Conserve MP, I suggest to stop giving this misinformation... I can proudly say I play good as a RDM, and many of my friends know this. A RDM plays many roles in a party, so just because they have Mage in their name doesnt mean they will just Cast and need uber MP. I have been main healer as an Elvaan RDM!!! And no down time, I've seen taru mages drain their mp in seconds, while i've seen others that never run out, it all depends on your skills, i really suggest you play something out and test it out yourself before EVER saying stuff about it. Don't say what you think or see, prove it yourself then you'll be allowed to speak. There's a reason why S-E made the Legendary RDM in AF Cutscenes an Elvaan, theres a reason too why Elvaan can play RDM in this game. About meelee, I sure as heck doubt a party won't want you to meelee as a RDM once you get an Excalibur at lv 75, think about it. RDM extra damage always helps. ANY extra damage always helps. I have 540 MP without food at lv 62 and I'm happy with my MP, I have 999 HP so I can convert even if I get hit. Subbing SMN can be a good thing too, I have 682 subbing SMN, 1001 HP and 682 MP, my mp has only went down to 300 with that sub.... why? cuz i hav no Conserve MP... but I can go with Conserve MP as low as 400 MP only.... or 200 in an XP party with no down time, now I bought a Dark Staff and my MP in XP parties never goes lower than 450-500, I use my MP well, I Dark Magic, MB, heal, Enhance, Enfeb, my MP remains good. Just because we have a bad Ratio of Convert doesnt mean we're not good RDM, IMO every race is good at RDM in a way. RDM is Jack of all trades, Perfect at nothing, they suck at nothing either, and no matter if you're a taru or a galka, you will still be a RDM. So please if you can't play RDM skillfully, you don't know how to handle races in this job.

One last thing, high level doesn't mean you are better or more experienced, try exploring each level as you level... That's experienced, so just because you're high level don't try to not be wrong in this Thread, everybody has opinions, but nobody is ever wrong or right, just state your opinions and don't fight over something you have poor knowledge about. High level means nothing but being closer to beating the game's hardest monsters. You find out many things about your job at high levels but seriously, if you don't master the roots of something, you will never be able to master the whole thing itself. So please, stop showing off because you're high level, it means nothing. :spin:

All I have to say is: My point is proven. No matter what we say, Elvaan's refuse to believe that taru's are in fact better. We never once said you couldn't be red mage, or that it wouldn't work, or whatever. Just that having MORE mp is better. How is that even debateable? I mean seriously, you should see the shit that taru melee get told all the time, and they're only *slightly* worse off as melee. I just don't see why people hate on taru's so much, so badly, so frequently. Whatever though, I posted my arguements, they were ignored, so I'll just go ahead and ignore what you said. Not like you haven't said anything that wasn't already repeated ad nauseum in this multi-page arguement.

As far as KFC goes - Popeyes is definately better, cheaper, and more convenient. KFC tastes like balls...
