  • Taru RDM >>> FARMING

im a 65rdm, my farming gear is as follows,

    Weapon<s>
    Crimson Blade
    Beestinger

Generally with the lucky egg in inventory i find it acts like the THF1 ability, hence blm lets me return home faster, for PT invites,

Before combat I cast the following in order,

    Refresh
    Phalanx
    En????
    Haste
    ???? Spikes
    Stone Skin

then to pull a large group of mobs I will Diaga, or use one of the BLM ~ga's
then stand in the middle and simply wait for refresh to wearoff <2mins>
at which time i begin the process again except for Stoneskin, which i will only cast when it runs out by itself, -4 mins>
against elementals ill use the beestinger, the delay of 150+haste makes me look like a ADD Child OD'ing on speed, but the en is doing the dmg,

is everyone else in the same boat as me?
my friend a DRG and I Farm together regularly, and honestly im there for his entertainment, when i get the dagger out laying into an elemental he stands there motionless, his not in awe of my great melee ability or the dmg im doing, hes laughing his ass off in complete histerics.

    should farming be easier?
    or is this it?

Maybe i should of chosen Elvaan for the natural STR

    >>>
We are planning to adjust the Red Mage a bit, as we made it rather difficult to play assuming that players playing Red Mages are very skillful.

i will read this as to many idiots swinging they're sword instead of doing they're job. not saying thats you, but in general. i think rdm could use some kinda self, passive mp regen trait, perhaps they're own stacking clear mind, something to help them get an edge when they do have time to rest for maybe a tick or so.

That seems to me more like RDM is such a challenging job, but they hadn't noticed it much before the interview because all the people who play RDMs are just so awesome that it looks easier than it is.

If they are indeed planning to make RDM easier....

well, i'd be glad, and i'm glad they said that in the article.

no one believes me about how hard RDM is, now i can show them that lol.

the jury is out on this one, but i mainly farm elementals, the nms are just unlucky on the pop, i hear better to sub thf but if not egg a must,

no i think you got me wrong, rdm's should suck considerably in the presance of a real melee, especially against an IT mob the XP PT is fighting,
i was saying the we suck too much when it comes to farming,

maybe access to some of the heavyer dmg swords, the 40+dmg ones would be nice, that way we could have a good farming gear that would be useless in a PT situation,

i tend to think we are the best farmers in the game.

i disagree about the farming part

First of all, i don't know why anyone but BLM/THF would get big groups of enemies. i fight single enemies.

secondly, i can take stuff that tears a monk 2 lvls higher than me to shreds.

                      Wat I think...

I think RDM's rock and that they are the easyest class I have like a Mithra with every single job (not adv. jobs) and I think the RDM is the best at Farming and fighting & using Magic. Most of the time RDM do do there job that they are even tho I see a few people who are at lvl 10-25 and they just atk and dont heal or use magic one little bit I wish the RDM would get easyer even tho its already easy its just takes a long time to learn spells thats the only thing that I would want them to change.

Depends which Lucky Egg you are talking about. About a month ago SE patched the game including renaming the Easter Egg Event "Lucky Egg" to Fortune Egg.

The name for the following equippable item has been changed: Lucky Egg --> Fortune Egg
And here is the original page with it.

So the Lucky Egg was changed to Fortune Egg because of the inventory only Lucky Egg. I was confused about it myself for awhile.
                              Vermillion Cloak O ^^
