But without conducting such tests it's just wrong to say that. If you try out certain things and balance out the stats you'd be surprised at how much more effective you can become.

Also going by your argument of "You can never have enough elemental skill" wouldn't pretty much every one of the cursed armors save for the dalmatica and the zenith boots be of use since none of the equipment has +elemental skill? Because as the situation dictates well would be never wouldn't it?
He's so very very right with skill. Elemental and Enfeebling skills for HNM gods is a requirement to keep it as has as you can, sacrifice MP, INT, MND, or whatever because you need to push as high of skill as you can to land your spell at its real potential instead of a long stream of resists. Whether its casting Stone IV or Paralyze on a skygod a resist is a resist and its wasted time and mp. Once you pass the barrier where you don't get resisted much you can pile on INT and MP and just blow the thing away with sheer firepower.

This last sentence is exactly what i'm talking about. Once you reach a certain point in elemental and enfeeble skill you use the zenith mitts. But no. People just want to say oh get all the elemental or enfeebling skill equipment that you can and leave it at that. And I don't think that's necessarily good advice.
      Just do it.

That original poster you quoted did say he wanted max ele skill for HNMs and God HNMs.

For Serket, Roc and those old-school NMs this doesn't really count, even us RDMs with our shitty ele skill can play ghetto BLM.

vs. the "real" HNMs tho he's right, any BLM will tell you that against these, balance is not an issue. They must pump ele skill sky high to land their nukes reliably.

I have 308 enfeeble, soon to be 319 in non windy zones, and i really have no clue if that increase is really going to help a whole lot. Look at the zilart pot in QS. WTF is with that thing? How can a whm with 70 less enfeeble skill and 4 less mind, 2 levels lower than I reliably land silence half the time, while I have cast silence over 60 times (I've done it quite a few times and chianspelled silence) with 0 successful lands.

Where does +enfeeble work? The ghosts in king ramps I could silence at 73 easily because of that mask and +36 mnd, I could even reliably land with mask and my int gear on. I do know that I have a pretty easy time with landing para on ff too, about 50% right now.

Anyway I have the Zenith Mitts abjuration now, my gear went pretty gimp after I walked away from hnm for about 3 months. My elem skill is pretty bad, (need torque, and AF2) but I did get an unresisted burst on niddogg (sp?).

Anyway night. (BTW kyhlee kicked my ass totally on ballista /cry)
